Ms. Coyle put her client's interests first; however, her work was sloppy. She seemed unable to provide comprehensive reviews of documents, meaning that she reviewed the same document mutiple times and had multiple rounds of revisions - each round of revisions cost money. I can't help but think that it would have been less expensive if she got it right the first (or second, or third) time. Her revisions were often word-smithing, and not substantive or legally-meaninful, but in order to reach agreement, I paid for them nonetheless. Although I reached agreement with the opposing party, Maria seemed to have difficulty closing the deal. She always had some small objection to something - two paragraphs should be consolidated into one paragragh - again, nothing substantive but enough to create unnecessary conflict. In a contentious situation, it seems more helpful when the attorney helps you work through issues, rather than promote additional conflict between oposing parties.
