Don Ford simply does not accept responsibility for mistakes he/his frm make. No capacity for empathy or offering apology and common decency. His MO is to flip the blame for things on the client. Poor preparation of legal documents. Poor communication and planning. Does not have the clients interests at heart - his interest is billing, billing billing. I would not recommend this firm.

My husband and I had high expectations for this firm. We have become more and more disappointed with overbilling, sadistic secretaries who think it's cute and an attorney who is increasingly unavailable because he is working on a trial for another client. They have filed good quality, significant motions after lots of pushing on our part but whatever good this firm does is ruined with bad customer service. We have asked for an associate atty to handle our case while the senior atty is away however our requests have been ignored. We will stay with this firm for now because our family has paid them so much money that we need to get our money's worth. When they do produce work, it is good quality. But getting them to commit to your case and work on your case after the initial retainer is depleted is like pulling teeth. However, if you employ the help of the state bar association's Client Attorney Assistance Program (CAAP), you can get what you need from this firm.

His office dont like returning phone calls.Doesnt tell you whats going on with your case and he doesnt answer your calls personally you talk to a assistance. He doesnt work very good with people from out of state because he knows hes got you over a barrel not one lawyer that I would recominde for any out of state people.I have had two checks write out to me on Aug 1 2012 and I just heard about them on Sept 14 2013 about these checks that are to ME from mothers estate,I feel for the 1500. dollars in legal fees hes done very little in my case and dont want anybody else to be taken like I have,Beware of this law firm

When my mother passed away, I was completely lost. Not only through the heartbreak I was feeling, but also on the question, “What do I need to do next?” That's where Ford + Bergner stepped in and took all the stress away. Mr. Ford was always available to answer my questions and concerns and he took the time to earn my trust. I couldn't of asked for better help.

I had to hire a lawyer to help me deal with a bad situation in my family over my mother's estate. I interviewed several lawyers, and I finally picked Mr. Ford. He worked very hard to fight against my brother and sister, and I feel like he did a great job. The outcome was well worth it. I hope I never have to go through something like that again, but if I do, I will definitely hire Mr. Ford again.

My family and I were involved in a very contested estate case, and I hired Don to help us. I cannot imagine any attorney having done a better job than he did. He was compassionate about our problems, and he never gave up on our case. His staff was very professional and always responsive to us. Don is Board Certified in estate matters, and he definitely deserves the distinction. I would highly recommend Mr. Ford!

OMG. The worst legal experience in my 50 years. I think Don is a punk. Outcome was far worse than ever imagined. Then he just quits. This is my opinion, your results may vary. If you want a terrible experience, hire Don. If you like paying $20 everytime his staffer addresses a fax cover sheet to someone, then this overbiller underacheiver is your man. If you need real help, seek anywhere else but Don Ford.

BEWARE. Get a contract with this person. Worst experience ever. Be sure he agrees to free arbitration in his contract with you for any fee disputes. This is a voluntary service provided by the local bar assoc. BEWARE.
