We had a very bad experience with this lawyer - she wrote up a contract that was not in favor of the client that paid her but favored the other party. Don't waste your money with her

Horrible excuse for a “lawyer” dealt with her for a couple of months and she called me by a different name every time we spoke. I’d instruct her in what I wanted to push for and she would do the opposite. I think it’s time she retires as she is not mentally capable of carrying out the duties of being a lawyer

She is the worst of the worst. She cost me $4,500 and did nothing for me. All she kept on saying to me is to keep my mouth shut and not to speak up. All she wanted to know was How much money I had. She promised me that she would do the necessary paperwork to be done and was always late or forgot to do it Stay AWAY from this women. She is completely incompetent!!!

Absolutely the worst lawyer EVER! I would never recommend her to anyone I tell people to go somewhere else for representation. I had her as a lawyer previously and she resigned while I was in the hospital for medical reasons where I almost lost my life and at the same time she caused me to miss and lose yet another court case. She is not on your side at any time, she has the rudest obnoxious demeaning behaviour and will take you for a huge money grab! I paid nearly $40,000 for nothing. Lots of lose legal ends the she said she completed and I am still trying to correct while representing myself for the past 3 years...

I agree with all the reviews. I used this woman. She yelled at me consistently in every conversation, talked down to me, told me she didn't care about me, my child or my ex but was working to get the best result. She didn't present any important information to the judges and lost my case which I in turn spent a fortune appealing and spent a fortune on her for nothing but grief and abuse. People like her should not be allowed to practice law especially family law !!!! Worst demeaned, attitude, everything. DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!!!!

already going through enough with children involved and you have to listen to muriels rude behavior (worst lawyer ever)I was praying she would bring her ****y attitude to court and fight for me but sadly not the case.If your looking for a really bad lawyer and want to pay outrages prices then Muriel is for you.She doesnt even know how to email

This woman took my money, promised to help if I did what I was told. I was afraid just being told by my common law husband of 13 yrs to get out of the condo we lived in for 8 yrs so he could move in his new girlfriend 3 weeks before Christmas. She treated me so mean, forgot details of previous conversations and then dropped me a week before Christmas day when i asked her how we were progressing? No chance I could get another lawyer. Lost my home and never got a cent because she drained me of any money I had. Do not use this woman. I do not say this lightly. She is evil.

Muriel Matthews was not a diligent lawyer at all. Over a two year period I gave her a little over 10,000 dollars and I still lost my home to foreclosure. She is not personable at all and in fact she has a very very mean disposition. She still didn't know my name after 2 years of dealing with her on a weekly basis. She sure wanted my money but didn't want to work for it.
