After several months in preparing for my child modification case with Carl, the Judge dismissed my case because Carl did not bring the “main issues” as part of the initial petition for modification and instead put it in the reply declaration. The Judge was confused as to what the main issues were! Legal competence was clearly missing.

Carl represented me in my divorce. I picked him because he went to court 80% of the time so he sounded like a fighter to me and I felt that might be what I would need. He responded to my wishes as I negotiated with my ex adding his thoughts when appropriate. When we arrived at a resolution he wrote it up as I wanted and got it finalized through her lawyer and took the final version to court. One of his sayings was "keep it like a business negotiation" and come out as well as you can. He did a very good job.

I needed assistance with a Vulnerable Adult Protection Order for my husband who is under hospice care. Carl was willing to talk extensively on a Sunday night to be sure he had all the information that he would need. When we went to court that week he knew what he was talking about, had as much time for me as I needed and did the research needed to be able to back up our concerns. The judge heard what Carl was presenting and decided in our favor to give my husband the protection he needed to have peace at the end of his life. I would definitely recommend Carl to handle your case.

Rude, unethical, not respected by Commissioners or Judges nor other Attorneys. Huge liability and risk. Drives up legal fees with no intention to avoid Trial where he makes most of his money at his clients expense to pad his pocket book.

Mr. Gaul, represented my mother 22 years ago. My mom was walking into trial about to sign a 50/50 custody agreement with my dad, when she hired Carl. Carl walked into trial with my mom and the 50/50 agreement was voided and my mom walked away with full custody of my brother and I. Yes it did take time, but I am shocked at this result, because both of my parents are good people and my dad fought like hell for us kids.
Now I have hired Carl for custody of my son, and I have my son 100% of the time and my ex has done exactly what Carl anticipated him to do. Carl has been nothing but honest, and he follows the law. With 30+ years of walking in and out of the court room, he knows what he is up against. He does anticipate the opposition’s moves, and gets results. He is a bulldog (as my mother would say) I wouldn't recommend any other attorney if you want custody of your child or children, hands down. HUGE Thanks to him!

Carl Gaul is rude and manipulates individuals. After researching him I'm not shocked to see he was suspended from the WSBA at one point. If you want a good lawyer look elsewhere.

Carl Gaul, Esq. has been representing me for 25 yrs. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him. On a scale from 1-10 I would rate him at 1000! Knowledge is Power. He is very well versed in his practice. He has spent countless, tedious and frustrating hrs presenting my position to the courts, dealing with 3 child support orders, wage assignments, chasing assets, finding other resources to aid with my case, siting case law for me to understand how the laws impacted my case dealing with a dead beat dad with strength and compassion. I moved out of state about a month after I retained him and my son's father moved around Washington. He ALWAYS communicated and explained each step in the process. Mr. Gaul represented my wife and her children after the ex had become physically abusive to the children. Carl was patient in answering all of our questions. He anticipated the oppositions moves. He got a good parenting plan for my wife, without visitation. I highly recommend Carl Gaul!

Mr. Gaul help get my two DV charges dismissed early. He got me out of my requirements in the Everett Municipal court early. In my divorce, he made sure that my Former wife's DV restraining order remained a temp order and had it merged into the divorce file. This order was dismissed without prejudice. Mr Gaul got my house and new bmw back to me withing 2 weeks after filing for divorce. He also got the courts to establish 3 days of family supervised visitation even with 2 arrests.I ended paying no spousal support for long haul of the divorce. He made sure that my child support was lower than what it should have been. In the end I ended up with more time with my child than a normal visitation schedule and things are still open for more recommendations. Negative ruling he turns into positves and the the reports from the GAL have been good fom me, not got for mey ex and her attorney. He also got A ne DVRo dismissed with prejudice. I Highly would recommend MR. GAUL

Carl brought me out of a very ugly custody fight with flying colors! He was very professional, kept me informed and educated which I really appreciated, and he knew when to negotiate and when to be the most aggressive shark in the water. I HIGHLY recommend him.
