Couldn't even beat my alcoholic ex-wife and she was representing herself. Also massively over-billed me and even showed invoices dated from before I even met her. Terrible experience.

Ms. Bennett has represented my family for over ten (10) years. She always made sure that we knew what our options were and what the likely outcomes were in advance. I refer everyone I know to her. Ms. Bennett treats everyone with dignity and respect. She was always so very prepared and knowledgable and you could tell that the lawyers and judges respected her.

Since 2011, Carin Maxey has represented me in a very complicated, highly contested, and lengthy family law case. At every turn, Mrs. Maxey has been professional, always responding quickly to my calls/correspondence. While Mrs. Maxey is extremely tenacious in the courtroom, she is kind and caring in her office and in correspondence. Many times, Mrs. Maxey has been available for me, in person, on a moment's notice to deal with timesharing issues. Mrs. Maxey has ferociously fought for my son's rights and my rights as his mother. She has won every case and an Appeal for me. I am truly thankful for her guidance and caring over the years.

Mrs. Maxey is a wonderful and caring attorney. She always made herself available to me and would even return my calls and emails on weeknights and weekends! I was very happy with the results of my case. I had prior experience with attorneys and this is the first time that I knew exactly what to expect. I will use her again and refer her to my friends and family.

DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER – HER NAME IS NOW CARIN MAXEY AND SHE RUNS MAXEY LAW. SHE WAS TOTALLY NON-RESPONSIVE TO MY EMAIL AND PHONE CALLS. SHE HAD EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE ON WHY SHE COULDN’T TALK OR ANSWER EMAIL QUESTIONS.
HER OFFICE MADE SEVERAL CRITICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS: I CAUGHT AN ERROR ON MY SSN WITH CHARACTERS INSTEAD OF NUMBERS, SIMPLE REVIEW OF THE DOCUMENT BY A SUMMER TEMP WOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT; THEY OVER BILLED MY ACCOUNT BY $250 ON THE FIRST BILL; THEN SENT THE WRONG BILL AND DEMANDED PAYMENT. I WAS PREEMPTED ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS FOR SCHEDULED PHONE CONVERSATIONS. SHE TOOK AN EXTRA MONTH TO FILE PAPERWORK BECAUSE SHE FAILED TO CHECK IF HISTORY FILE WAS AVAILABLE ON LINE. FINALLY, WHEN I ASKED FOR A FACE-TO-FACE MEETING SHE COULDN’T BE BOTHERED.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITVE RATING ON THIS ATTORNEY..lies..she probably rated herself..She is the worst attorney ever!!!!she overcharge you for services she never renders or perform..late for appointment..never return calls but bills you for calling her...staff is unprofessional....i spent thousands, thousands of dollars with no results! I had to get another lawyer to clean up her mess..do not retained her....she talks a good game when you first interview with her but after you pay her the retainer,you might get luck and see her again....RUN!!!!

She took my money and ran.. It has been months and she has not even filed my divorce paper work. And now she has the nerve to send me a bill because i have used up by $1500 retainer! Before you use her look her up. She has reports filed with her on rip off reports. I am now out money i will never get back, have accomplished absolutely nothing. Its hard enough to go threw a divorce but now i have to deal with her too. She is a thief.

Don't be fooled by the fake positive reviews about Carin Bennett on this website. They're clearly posted by her staff. This is a terrible lawyer. Please save yourself months or years of aggravation and avoid her. I was tied up with her in a case for nearly two years, during which time she accomplished nearly nothing and didn't seem to care. I finally dropped her and quickly resolved my family law case with another lawyer.

So good...!! Was on top of everything, I could not of asked for a better attorney. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was so happy that she was recommended to me. She has all the knowledge and communication skills that I was looking for in an attorney. If you want a family matter in be handled SHE IS THE ONE..!

I would definitely recommend Carin Bennett as an attorney. I came into my divorce not by my choice as my wife left me for another man so I was really confused and concerned about the whole process. But Bennett made it a very clear and decisive experience and in the courtroom she was stern on what I needed and wanted. She represented me the very best she could and the judge even seemed impressed. She is very strong and a fighter for what I wanted and needed and got it. I paid her what we agreed upon and that was it. She always returned my calls and answered my emails. Bennett made my nasty divorce a much more pleasant one.

I have filed a bar complaint and have a pending lawsuit against her. She bills for emails that she reads and does not responds to. She double bills for her services. She allowed the oposing attorney to out do her at every avenue. The Worst ever. Very disoganized, bad staff, always late

Ms. Bennett was very kind and considerate during a difficult time for me. She explained the process and what to actually expect to happen. She answered all of my emails within 24 hours. Even better...she gave me an estimate of how much my divorce case would cost (including the difference in costs depending on which direction my divorce and custody case might take). The estimate was right on!!! Ms. Bennett also told me pretty much what her "educated guess" of the outcome of my guess--if everything I told her was accurate. Exactly what she said would happen....DID HAPPEN!!! She was always so nice when we were in her office. BUT SHE WAS A TIGER IN COURT!!! I am so happy I hired her because she gave me reasonable expectations and then what happened with her by my side EXEEDED THOSE EXPECTATIONS! I always recommend her to all my friends.

Ms Bennett reviewed my outdated wills and made suggestions for changes that would save my family money in probate. I have used Ms Bennett for other famiy matters and when I called about issues that were outside her practice areas,she recommended an equally experienced lawyer to handle my case. I will always call her first for whether her assistance or a proper referral.

This attorney is horrible. She never returned phone calls and now refuses to refund the $1,500 retainer I gave her even though she performed no work whatsoever in my case. I have filed a complaint witht the Florida Bar and would encourage all to stay away from this firm. I paid her on August 13 and as of August 25 she still had not filed any paperwork on my behalf for the divorce. I was going to let her go at that time but then when she refused to return the retainer knew I had no choice but to give her a second chance. As of September 15 she still had not filed any paperwork on my behalf. I believe that speaks for itself about her character and ethical standards.

WORST LAWYER EVER! She doesn't return phone call or emails, even though she bills you for them. Late for all meetings and trials. Does not seems to care about your case. Very unprofessional and unorganized. She dragged my child support case out for 25 months and did not even get me the arrears for the time of the case. And her response to me was, oh well, at least you got something. Yeah, I got more debt now that I have her bills on top of raising a child. Please do yourself a favor and find another attorney. Only Carin E. Bennett would make it possible to loose a case to a dead beat dad!
