Do not give this man a retainer! I had a case in CA and live in FL. I retained him IN CASE I needed him, not BECAUSE I needed him. When I was diagnosed w/cancer I wanted to be prepared if the case fell thru and I was unable to go interviewing attorneys. (Cancer unrelated to case) I even called Mr. Perretine to tell him "Do nothing" to re-emphasize what I said during the free consultation. He said he would wait til he heard word from me. Aside from saying hello to the CA attys, he had no authority whatsoever. His office never sent me anything, not even the monthly (promised) statements letting me know they were NOT following my instruction. This man is not trustworthy.. Once he received that 1600. retainer, I believe he had no intention of ever making the refund (if any) he promised. The only communication from him was an email ten days after my refund request stating he began the case. If this man returns the money and we do not have to sue, I will amend this review.

Perettine hires Paralegals that divulge confidential information about cases. He also has a paralegal that gives his work to other attorneys when his fees seem to high. his staff is very unprofessional and he is very rude to clients. I would not hire him for any type of legal work. His staff is unprofessional and so is he.
