The attorney knew nothing about my case or how to competently represent me, and was laughed out of court. Only half my retainer was used by Lisa Marie Vari and Associates and the remainder (over $4000) was not returned to me despite there being no more billable hours. That is considered by competent attorneys as an unethical practice. Beware.

Lisa Marie Vari & Associates represented me in my divorce/custody. Alexandra Cabonor was handling my custody. Attorney Cabonor and my ex's attorney had to go in front of the Master to discuss custody. Attorney Cabonor came out to inform me that my ex wanted more custody and I said absolutely not. She went back in before the Master and came back to tell me everything was the same. I signed the paperwork only to find out a week later she had allowed my ex to have custody on my Sundays and in the midst of it all CYS is involved because my ex's girlfriend hit my daughter with a mirror. I contacted her irate that she would allow that to happen without telling me. She apologized and I told her she needed to fix it. She filed a motion and Melissa Lewis went in front of the judge. The judge ordered no changes to be made. When Melissa told me this, she said there are better options than to file a motion. My obvious response was "WHY WASN'T I TOLD THIS." DO NOT AT ANY COST USE THEM.

We are filing with the Disciplinary Board due to their legal malpractice. They take you money and then stop returning you phone calls and emails until you have no option but to fire them. Once you fire them, they keep every penny you gave them. In our case it was $4500. The have no ethics or morals in at this establishment. We will do anything in our power to expose this scam. Do not hire them, you will regret it.

I was very disappointed, I can not fairly review her because when I called and had a 30 min $400 phone conversation with whoever (not Lisa) the women said she didn't feel that they could have done any better than what the courts awarded me.?? As a father fighting for custody of my daughter I did not find what I was looking for here.

Ms. Vari represented me during my divorce. I was totally unaware of how the divorce laws worked regarding property division, child support, etc. Once I met Ms. Vari I felt totally confident in her abilities as an attorney and I hired her. Thank god I did, she is very knowledge and is always fighting for her clients. I strongly recommend her to anyone going through any type of divorce or family issues.

Lisa Vari took on a tough case for me against child protective services. I'm a grandparent and wanted to raise my grandson. CPS wanted to adopt him out to a young couple. It was a long, very imvolved, extremely nasty case. She was very well prepared and ran circles around the other attorneys with her knowledge. I highly recommend her as a thorough professional. My only complaint is the cost; however, you get what you pay for, and my grandson was worth every cent.

I have used Miss Vari multiple times in the 13 years of my dovorce. She is knowledgeable and informative of how the case would preceed. In divorce court nothing works like you think it will and Miss Vari has been great in working within the system, and explaining what and why things happen in court. She has allways been professional and her staff have allways seemed to go out of there way to provide me with everything I have needed in my case. I would use her again and highly recomend her.

Lisa Vari is one of the most honorable tenacious lawyers i have ever met. I am a Deputy Sheriff with shared custody of my two children. I went six years thru family division fighting despertly to have the abilty to create a normal life for my children. At each turn family division ruled against me not willing to believe that i was all about my children,at one point i had to declare chapter 13 to save our home because family div.was taking a 1,000.00 a month and giving it to my ex and the only reason i could see was because i am a man.I was working****ndous hours because my take home was only about 100 a month after family and bankruptcy. Four years ago Lisa took my case and showed them what i was doing for my children and how my ex did nothing. She got my obligation reduced to less then 200 a month allowing me to keep our home so my children wouldnt be raised in two apartments and have a real home. Lisa fought for us as though we were her own family

Lisa Vari mistakenly filed a support questionnaire with my Divorce complaint which contained my S.S. #, birthday, address, employment information, etc. The information was then available to the public on the county website! Then she had the nerve to charge me $300 to go before the judge and have the case records sealed. She refused to remove the charge from my account.

My case was handled by a paralegal. I needed an appointment to talk to Ms Vari. She was never available when I called her office. She was more interested in getting the retainer and a new billable case than helping the client. She postponed a hearing so the opposing attorney would have time to get his "ducks in a row" and it cost me a $2000 support payment. A court $400 fee was charged twice on my bill and I was billed for calling her office and asking for a correction. A form was mailed to me which I was not ready to sign and return. One month later, a letter was sent to me from an attorney in her office, reminding me that they had sent the form. I was charged $65.00 for a "reminder" that I didn't need!
