Cathy Westlund is an incompetent Lawyer, We gave her the benefit of the doubt, due to the fact that she was referred to us by a friend. Like the previous complaint, she rather email then make contact. My mother hired her for custody reasons regarding my niece, my sister passed in an auto accident her father refused to allow my parents visitation. She refused to submit legal guardianship papers to the court, stating it would take to long. Then when my mother stopped by the firm to speak to her, she just came halfway down the stairs and didnt even give my mother the courtesy of taking her back to her office, mind there were other people in the lobby. she charged my mother for every stupid letter she wrote. none the less, for the past 3 months Nothing has been accomplished and she charged my mother over 2,000 dollars!! She will rip you off!

Ms. Westlund's work performance is less than satisfactory. On numerous occasions I asked her to call me regarding my case, she felt it best to email me at my home email address where I couldn't check it until 6pm. She tried to get me to perjure myself in my response declarations and then charged me when I made her correct these mistakes that she made. When false accusations were made against me, she emailed me about them instead of calling, and I got that email 2 days before court. When it came time for a final custody order, she signed off and agreed to things that were not brought before the commissioner and never consulted me before signing. When I emailed her and brought these discrepancies to her attn, she contacted the other atty and fixed only a few of her mistakes, and then charged me for all of her mistakes. If you love your kids and want to be able to spend time with them, stay away from her!!!
