She is a waste of time, never hear from her unless if its for money. and she even cant call you or bill you on time. I went months not knowing i owed money and she did nothing.. Her staff is even horrible, they pretend to not know anything and when you catch them in a lie they get quiet.
I provided her with evidence against my ex wife showing that she is lying about income and work. provided phone calls and call recordings and she didn't even use it.
I settled my own case, otherwise she would of left me with the clothes on my back.

Alison represented me in a complicated case that went from the Supreme Court to the appellate court and then back to the Supreme Court. She was always honest and realistic about the case. She always told it like it was. Courts and lawyers cause us anxiety. Whenever I would speak with Alison she would negate these feelings. Her intelligence and knowledge always gave me extreme confidence that things would work out. I would highly recommend her. I am very thankful that I chose her to represent me and would do it again in a heartbeat!!

I am a Wall Street executive living in Manhattan for decades and I hired a "hot shot" Manhattan lawyer to originally handle my case. After close to a year of complete nonsense and huge bills, I was nowhere in court and finally realizing how the system and most players in it are a sham. Great frustration and anxiety watching and experiencing the incestious relationship between opposing lawyers, court lawyers and yes, the judges themselves made sick and it made me crave real justice with no-nonsense lawyer representing me properly inside a pathetic system. Terrible lawyer with a bad attitude, questionable billing and a knack for drawing out simple cases. I never heard from her unless there was a bill to be paid, tried multiple times to bill me for speaking to the other party and refused to hand over documented related to my case when I fired her. Also, her front end staff is terrible and have the same bad attitude. Avoid at all costs and save yourself the pain.

She has been my attorney for almost ten years, and I will never ever consider another attorny for family court issues. She is a pitbull in the court room and she gets the job done. She may at times come off as harsh to her clients, but that is b/c she tells it like it is and also if you try and bombard her w/ questions right before you walk into the court room, she is concentrating on your case you are breaking it, make sense of it people. After all is done she is as sweet as pie. Also I am not rich and she is very fair she has represented me without a retainer, rather on a payment plan. She understands that lawyers are expensives if you are complaining about the bill show some good faith you are probably not paying it and if so you are wrong, and you can not pay her and expect her to be at your becking call. She has never not returned my calls or failed to inform me of what was happening. Don't listen to the negative sour reviews! RETAIN HER FAST!!! I'M NOT AN ATTORNEY OR PAID POST.

Worst attorney ever!! No communication no prep drags out case no resolution after 6 months .. Want return phone calls if you owe money. Her payment comes above case ..even when child is being mentally and emotionally abused by father . Never told me we were having trial. Didn't tell me what to bring QUIT as we were about to enter courtroom because I owed money and questioned her charges. Told her she's done nothing in 6 months. Said her business was more mportant than my case. Then proceeded to bad mouth me to my child's attorney and court officer in front of me !!! Told them i had the nerve to send her lengthy fax. Completely unprofessional and rude !!! Showed up at court without reading evaluator report and wanted adjournment .. Always late to court and has caused me to lose many days of work because of her incompetence. Also refused to contact my sons lawyer to inform her of situations with father.

Bad. Don't believe every good ratings bcos she's has Internet image maker fixing or posing positive ratings. To my specific. This lawyer is a quack no communication, no case preparation, too many clients to remember details of my case. Forget to file required court documents. Use general knowledge, does not research case, no time, unprepared. Hoping from room to room with no time to even remember details. I am hurting so bad I woke up 3am to pace this ratings. I spoke other lawyers and they claim they have her former clients who were unhappy and they have to clean up her mess. I will gladly pay her 2wice what she took from me to get this case fresh. Complete life long regret.

Alison Aplin is an amazing person, straight forward and direct. She was my second divorce lawyer and she did an amazing job cleaning up the mess of my first useless lawyer. Wish I had her as my lawyer from the beginning.

After firing my first attorney, I interviewed 5 that had most experience with Judge Panepinto. I picked Alison because she seemed the most experienced and energetic. It only took 4 court visits and ~5 months for her to settle the case. She definitely has a lot of pull in the court room, and she understands that closing the case quickly is the best thing financially. I feel very well represented with her and not at all ripped off. Dropping communication grade to 4 for not using email, besides that she's 5 across the board

Alison Aplin is an absolute asset to family court. Not only is she knowledgeable about the law but she also makes you feel like you are part of her family. She is strong and smart and well admired by her colleges. I have never felt more confident. I recommend her to anyone who is going through a divorce. HIRE HER BEFORE YOUR SPOUSE DOES!!!

Terrible representation. Chronically over bills, misses court appointments and never communicates the state of your case. She will also drag out the process in order to increase the billing on the case. Avoid her in your divorce case and you will have one less headache to worry about in your life. Overall was a awful experience as a client.

Alison is a knowledgable divorce attorney. She protected my interests and advised me from the beginning until the end of the proceedings. She pulls no punches and tells it like it is. She threw my case. Then she moved to be relieved. The judge let her off the hook for having abandoned my case at a critical time without giving notice that she was going on vacation. She ruined my case and then like the rat she is she deserted the sinking ship. She has zero integrity.

I was given Alison's name from a friend. I was lost and didn't know where to turn. She was the best. I needed a voice and I needed to know my legal rights. Both of which I was missing at the time. She was my rock. I trusted her and she fought for me, even when I felt like throwing in the towel. I believe that she looked at me as a person that was going through more than I could handle at the time. She treated me fairly and kindly. She is horrible you can't get worse. When you meet her you think she will fight for you. more like she will fight with you. insulting and useless she will double charge break court dates once her cat died was one of the reasons. She once was in court but never made it to my case so the judge had to give me a new date after I sat there all day by the way she still charged me for the day. The other reasons was she had big murder cases and she wouldn't step in family court or surpreme for months because that took all of her time stay way from her she is no good if people that had her many years ago say she is good. Better talk to someone who use her now or a few years ago it's now about keeping you unsettled in your divorce for years you are her human cash cow. She lies about everthing to prolong your case
