I'm not quite sure why this lawyer claims to know immigration laws, however he is one of the most unknowledgeable people about immigration there is. He did not complete the work that he was supposed to do, and he charged for things he wasn't even supposed to be doing, or agreed to do certain things free because he was still in the process of learning about immigration rules. (i.e. he has never even attended an immigration interview before us). Every time we had a conference with the lawyer about the status of the case, he was very much in the dark about anything going on. The worst part about it is, that we had to explain more things to him than he did to us. So in the end, all he did was file two papers which we could have done ourselves, (which we did for additional paper work afterwards). All I can say is, avoid this lawyer at all costs, especially for immigration related issues, since he doesn't seem to have enough knowledge about immigration laws. You're better of calling the DHS.
