Great lawyer! Knows her stuff. Focuses on her client but is also professional and respectful of others. She gets a resolution done with reasonable fees. Hire her! Notice the comments by a "professional". Sounds like sour grapes to me and I see that this professional cannot spell so that makes me wonder. This is not the experience you will get with Elissa.

Great lawyer. Cost efficient. Sounds like the other lawyer was a sore loser. This is not what you will experience with Elissa. She knows the law. She knows how to argue for her client in a proper and professional way.

As a professional it was a terrible experience working with her. She became emotionally attached to her client not able to clearly distinguish the law and facts. She is very abrupt, not proficient in the law, and doesn't follow through with time lines. She was very successful in drawing out a settlement, driving up costs for everyone and ended up in the same result. She will tear apart your family so be carful if you are aiming for an amicable separation for the benefit of your children.

Ms. Gamus was my third family law lawyer. I switched to her based on a recommendation from a friend. After bad experiences with my two previous lawyers, I found Ms. Gamus to be a breath of fresh air. I found her to be efficient, assertive and she got my file settled.

Great lawyer. Liked her clerk, Lindsay. Both respectful. Focused on me and my kids! But also understands complicated numbers. Saw short term and long term...very results focused. Great value! You pay for what you get! Made a painful time easier! Sounds like some of the negative results below come from the ex spouses not the clients.

I agree with some of the reviews below. Elissa is a frivolous lawyer whose strategy is to empty your wallet. She did this by tactically dragging out my case at the expense of our children involved in the lawsuit. She continued to bill me over $30,000 but we didn't even get through the preliminary hearings. Elissa made the process far more stressful and costly than it should have been, and the other lawyers involved had apparently complained about her to the judge. Her firm is apparently renowned for trying to bleed their clients dry. I found Elissa's conduct truly despicable. She abuses the court system, for her own monetary gain, as harm was falling upon me and my children. She tries to tell you what you want to hear. After wasting $30,000 AND 13 MONTHS on Elissa, I fired her and hired a cheaper family lawyer who won my case in 4 WEEKS. Suffice to say she was spiteful about my firing her and she tried to influence the outcome of my case behind the scenes. Avoid her and avoid her firm

Elissa unneccessarily over lawyered areas of my case. The bills continued to roll in yet she gets little results. Only after finding a new lawyer did I learn that family law did not need to be as stressful as it had been. Elissa was a very large contributor to that stress.

Very knowledgable. Good service and worth the fees for the results. Offered goiod advice. Would recommend this lawyer if needing excellent family law lawyer.

Get ready to empty out your wallet with this one. She would ask for $5000 every 2-3 months. Had to fire her after paying over $30,000 in lawyer's fees and nowhere near a resolution (no kids involved). My second lawyer got the job done! I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAWYER. Also, she wouldn't transfer my file to the new lawyer. Not sure if this is the customary practise or a case of sour grapes.
