I found Barbara Puckering to be of excellent assistance. While she is very busy, but she does what is important first. Her staff have been with her for a long time and are also extremely knowledgeable in their own right and either have the answer or find out and pass it on. Great office!

Barbara Puckering is extremely knowledgeable and has carefully explained to me my choices through a very complicated process, every step of the way. It is obvious from the last posting that the client, if he exists at all, told some pretty poor excuses to his fiancé. I continue to be extremely pleased with Barbara’s professional services, which I continue to use.

Barbara, has been an outstanding lawyer to me during a very difficult process. Her knowledge of family law, business law and how they merge together is not only broad but deep. She understands complex business issues and financial statements with a keen eye on mitigating exposure while minimizing asset transferring. During my time with Barbara, she has coached me when she felt I was out line, advocated strongly for my children and was a pitbull when required with the other side.
When issue arose on a weekend or after hours, she was always there to listen, coach and mentor.
Would highly recommend her (and her staff – especially Vera) to anyone who wants an experienced litigator, understand negotiation and often acts as a mediator for comprise without gouging your pocket. Most lawyers look to take as much as they can from your asset base yet she tries to minimize her impact that way and leave the assets for your children.
If I had to do it again, I would pick her again!

Ever since my first meeting with Barbara, I knew I was in good hands and I was 100% right. Barbara has never disappointed me. I've met my share of lawyers but when it came to my divorce I knew I had to find someone that gives the true meaning of an "honest lawyer" and I found that in Barbara. Barbara and Vera are not your average team, they've exceeded my expectations. Barb's knowledge of Family Law is incredible. I've witnessed her in court countless of times and it's like watching an artist at work. She makes things clear, reasonable and persuasive and always thinks of my child's interests. She is prepared and has faced all sorts of hearings brought by my ex. through her numerous lawyers. From Case Conferences,short motions, long motions to 2 trials,Barb has been 100% professional and she has been with me all the way. Barb never gives up trying to settle matters out of court. I've referred Barbara to several of my friends and coworkers and everyone is just as satisfied.

Rude, sloppy, incompetent , liar, but because of all her faults, I got custody and residency of my children. ( she represented x I am father) she is the worst of the worst.

One of the worst lawyers you could ever encounter. She represente my father during my parents divorce. Most of the time she did not bother to pass on messages from her client to my mother and vice versa. This resulted in me being placed in the middle as the messanger. She was late with her responses and spent more time charging extra fees than actaully working on the divorce. All I can say is find someone else, she's not worth the money.

Despite the fact that I won every time I went to court with her, she was very very difficult to work with. Her office lost filings. She didn't meet timelines. I eventually found another lawyer because I realized half of my money in fees was time I spent arguing with her about how to approach the case. I won not because she had a strategy, but because I had figured out the strategy.

Ms. Puckering represented my mother through her difficult separation process. I knew when my mom was in communication with her lawyer as her spirits lifted, she felt stronger and had a clearer understanding of the process and expectations. Although not directly involved with Ms. Puckering, as a young adult, I was able to comprehend the positive impact she had upon my mom. My mother always spoke very highly of Ms. Puckering's competence and knowledge of the law. Hopefully I will never require her services, but if I do, I will definitely have Ms. Puckering represent me!

If you want a lawyer who will go to bat for you, is knowledgeable, competent, and a brilliant negotiator then Ms. Puckering is the lawyer you want representing you. Ms. Puckering is compassionate, has a wicked sense of humor and helps you stay the course when you feel like giving up just to end the process. How rare to strike the perfect balance in one person: great therapist ( she knows exactly what to say)and an amazing lawyer (she gets the job done). I read a couple of other evaluations of Ms. Puckering and it is apparent to me they must have been on the opposing side and chose this forum to vent THEIR frustrations with THEIR outcomes. Otherwise, why not get yourself another lawyer!

Unlike the previous reviewer, I found Ms. Puckering to be utterly incompetent. She lies, she does not show up on time, and even the judge remarked about her lack of preparation. She is a train wreck of a lawyer. I would not recommend her to anyone.
