I used this lawyer for a DUI. This was my second offence. He and his team guided me troughout the entire process. They would call me with progress reports and then send me emails going over what we talked about on the phone. I highly recommend him. Fingers crossed I never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will not hesitate hire him again.

A year ago I was arrested for a very serious criminal charge, with potential jail time. This had been my very first offense and it brought a great deal of stress for me and my family. I am in my final year of school, about to graduate, and this charge would have been the end for me. All my 5 years of school would have been to waste, not to mention the amount of money gone, had I have gone to jail. I had the opportunity to work with Michael Kruse on my case. Last year my son had a serious accident with my car and was charged with impaired driving as he failed a breathalyser test. I have always assumed that a failed breathalyser test meant an automatic conviction. We contacted Mike Kruse and determined that we had options and that the case was worth fighting. Throughout the process, Mike worked extremely hard in preparing our case; including the recruitment of an expert witness and a full analysis of the accident scene. In addition, Mike and his staff did their best to reduce our stress with honest assessments of the crown’s case and the likelihood of a successful challenge to the charges. What a life altering couple of months it has been! I was charged with two counts of domestic assault and immediately contacted Michael Kruse. After turning myself in to law enforcement, Mr. Kruse had me released within 3 hours and we got started on my defense case. After 7 months of back and forth, my case went to trial where I was offered 2 plea deals - only to turn both of them down - I hadn't done anything to plea to. Mr. Kruse's hard work, determination, knowledge of the law and faith in me won me the verdict of "Not Guilty" and I sit here a free man. Without the legal expertise and experience of Mr. Kruse, I'm not positive I would have a clear record - even with my innocence. Mr. Kruse to helped me beat a DUI charge recently. Mr. Kruse and his staff at all times communicated with me about what to expect and what my possible outcomes were. I knew the case was not a ‘slam dunk’ win, they left ‘no stone unturned’, exhausted all resources and were tenacious in dealing with the Crown. Mr. Kruse and I spent an inordinate amount of time preparing; we were seemingly in constant communication. My charges of impaired / refuse were dismissed after a three-day trial. Mike certainly did his homework. He knew the facts and relied on the applicable case law. His cross-examination of the four police witnesses was superb as the judge ultimately used their evidence against them. The evidence could not have come out any better so if I had been convicted it would not have been Mike's fault. His calm demeanor in court exuded confidence and no doubt had a positive incluence on the judge. Mike's legal fees were very reasonable.

all this lawyer knows is how to take your money upfront and keep asking for more while not doing his job. trying to play a wive against her husband in a all while the instructions where to move foreward to trial to prove our innocence. thank god he his so dumb that it became obvious long before trail that we had to get someone that knows the law and is actually investigating the evidence and talking to all of the defence witnesses. make sure you get your free half hour with someone else before you decide on this one.

I feel in fairness to Mr. Kruse that anyone looking to use his services should make an educated decision based on his track record. I was charged with impaired driving and over 80. I retained the services of Mr Kruse with a similar retainer exceeding twelve thousand dollars being paid. My livelyhood depended on my keeping my licence. I researched several lawyers in southwestern Ontario; and no one came as highly rated as Mr. Michael Kruse, and his law firm. His ethics were beyond reproach and I was aware of every aspect of my case as it progressed through the court system. He spoke to me as a person and made me very comfortable. For a $10,000.00 retainer, he all but guaranteed an acquittal on an impaired driving charge. I was convicted. I understood the chances of being convicted, despite his assurances. However, his performance was so disappointing that I couldn't help but feel swindled. I don't respect him as a lawyer. The best advocacy that I saw from him was when he convinced me to retain his services. Once he was in the courtroom, he was next to useless. Don't waste your money.
