I cannot express how difficult and it was to work with Marietta Raqueno. I hired Robert Burch as my divorce attorney and she was part of the package as his assistant. She was arrogant beyond her knowledge to a point of childishness. But worst of all did not relay critical information from the other party to me in a timely manner, causing me to make important decisions without the benefit of that information, decisions that I then could not reverse. At times she told me she didn't agree with Robert's strategy (the lead attorney) and tried to get me to go in a different direction, confusing everyone. She constantly wanted to meet and "answer questions" so she could rack up billable hours. She injected an unnecessary and infuriating level of chaos and drama into an already difficult situation. A complete lack of compassion and maturity. I was very happy with Robert Burch. However if Marietta Raqueno is assigned as the assistant on your case, request someone else.

Very bad experience. This attorney is a "c List" and the firm of Burch Coulson and Shepard was terrible. They are money hungry an overall mess.

This lady did a terrible job on my divorce. She was terrible at details, did not review paperwork and was generally sloppy and unprepared.

Readers should take these reviews with a grain of salt, as anyone can post anonymous reviews on this site - opposing party, opposing counsel, a stalker, a scorned individual, a competitor in the industry, etc. A reviewer can also post different reviews on different websites pretending to be different "clients." This is in an attempt to hurt a person's reputation and livelihood with false claims - all ANONYMOUSLY. Ms. Raqueno is an EXCELLENT attorney who cares about her clients.

I had hired the law firm of Burch, Coulston and Shepard and was assigned this attorney. While I was extremely impressed with Ms.Shepard and she was the reason for me hiring the firm I was told that Ms. Raqueno had to work on my daily things. She was very difficult to work with and often cut me off during conversations. She also skipped over things and was not responsive to several very important questions. She also gave me some wrong information that thankfully was straightened out by a more senior attorney. I would not recommend her but would recommend Attorney Shepard.

I was very satisfied with Marietta as my attorney. She is very thorough and caring. I suggest her to anybody who needs an attorney for their divorce proceedings for quality representation.

Marietta represented me and I could not have asked for a better attorney. She fought hard for my kids and me and got a good settlement for us. She was also very compassionate and cared about my case. I had been represented by two other attorneys previously who were not up to Marietta's standards. I highly recommend her and would not hesitate referring anybody to us.

This a professional opinion based on long term dealings with Raqueno in a professional capacity. She is an extremely hard working, knowledgeable and skillful attorney with many years of experience. She keeps her skills honed and her knowledge base current.
At court, hearings and depositions, Raqueno presents a calm and collected demeanor. She is a confident, well spoken and thoroughly prepared advocate. She methodically combs through information and has a superior memory for facts. No page goes unturned; no fact goes unnoticed. She is meticulous yet efficient in preparation of all pleadings and discovery.
Her high work product and work ethic is matched by her professionalism and candor with clients, opposing counsel, court, and support staff. Raqueno is dependable, punctual, and ethical. She does not perform unnecessary work and is cognizant of clients' limited finances. Raqueno possess the qualities that all family law practitioners should have but that a number of them lack.

This lady was totally rude to me. She lacks knowledge and fakes that she is on top of things. She was late to court and did not professionally acknowledge or apologize to me, her client! I pay her bill and she was disrespectful and arrogant. Big mistake hiring this gal. Would not recommend her to my buddies.

Marietta represented me in what was the most difficult time of my life. My wife hired an attorney who seemed to want to get me to settle by intimidation. Marietta did not let that happen. She strongly advocated for my kids and me throughout the process and got a much better resolution than I could have imagined. She always promptly returned calls and emails and spent as much time as necessary to advise me and tell me what my options were while explaining each option. In the end, my wife even told me she wish she had marietta as her attorney so her expectations would have been more realistic. Marietta also was very reasonable with her costs. I fully endorse marietta for anybody who has the misfortune of going through what I had to go through.

First reviewer is correct and my experience is consistent. I hired her last year. She doesn't return calls, does not review details properly. Contrary to her website profile and other sources she showed no emotional connection and advocated for trial. She was not prepared for my case at multiple hearings and was very weak in quality and legal knowledge. She wasted money and did not produce the value she spoke about before I hired her.

Ms. Raqueno is pleasant and easy to deal with. She actually returns calls. If she doesn't know your case, it is probably because it was thrown at her at the last minute by Patrick McCall. She does listen and has no problem making the tough calls. I have appreciated her willingness to take care of things rather than having to wonder what is going on.

Raqueno doe not take the time to learn the facts about her individual cases. Has no clue about a case when you call her on the phone for an update. Does not follow up on specifics of your case. You will have better chance in court by visiting your local law library. It's obvious that the author of the previous rating is a fellow lawyer friend because only a lawyer would use the term "libel".
