I was recently cited for a moving violation. Being a retired police officer, I knew I had not committed the violation I was cited for, and I also knew that the side of the road was not the place to plead my innocence. I resigned myself to go to court and see if I could have the matter reduced to a non-moving violation. I am currently on chemo and had neither the time nor will, to fight it. I was referred to Ms. Badeaux and through her efforts the citation was dismissed! I highly recommend her and her firm!

She was extremely rude to us and her entire office showed signs of discrimination as well as siding with the judge for her discrimination. Employed this attorney who after we paid her she refused to speak to me only my wife and would call me and said she won't talk to me and charge for those calls. She was "injured" in a car accident and made us pay for her lawyer to misrepresent us in court and continue a case that has been continued 2 times before that. She charged for drafting questions for a watermeier that I made! We sent her an email of the questions we wanted asked and she called to get more money out of us as she made us read out loud those questions for her to copy down. Her legal assistant KT is lied saying she has been a part of every call and denied all this. reached out to the lgbtq center for help with discrimination and she charged for that call too after rudely speaking with rep. Disrespectful and will suck money out of your retainer anyway possible! DO NOT HIRE THIS M

I hired Ellen to represent me for a family law case. I was desperate to get in to meet with an attorney ASAP and I was able to get my initial in office consultation with Ellen the very same day that I called. She was honest and forthcoming with her costs from the very first consultation. Compared to other family law attorneys in the area, she is definitely fair with her fees. Worth every penny. Ellen got me everything that I had asked for in my case. Everyone in her office has been more than helpful to me through a difficult and very stressful time. Her knowledge and confidence is what I needed to represent me.

I went through multiple attorneys over 3 years. All told me I had no choice but to settle in my family court case. It was a very biased closed parish case. Ellen and her staff accepted our case. She was thorough, frugal with our time and money, and ultimately put an end to my torment. I appreciate her and her staff more than I can acknowledge. Thank you guys! My family is at peace and kids are safe.

If I stop just one person from hiring her, I will be happy. Very rude and disorganized attorney. I feel my divorce case was purposely made to last longer in order to get more money from me. Horrible experience dealing with her and her staff.

Ellen is simply amazing. I currently have her enrolled in my custody battle and a criminal issue. She has been amazing in both. She is not very forthcoming with her plans for hearings, but in the hearings she is hardcore. Be open and honest if you hire her, and she will fight for you. Some people say she is rude. I cannot agree. She is honest, sometimes brutally honest, but i have not yet seen any rudeness from herself nor her staff. Pricewise she is reasonable. I wont say she is cheap, but I am yet to feel as if she underperformed based on the assosciated cost. As stated before be open and honest with her, and expect brute honesty back.........but also expect brute force in the courtroom.

I have had Mrs. Ellen for an attorney for almost five years now. She has kept my children safe and made me feel comfortable a long the way. She will handle any of mine and my family's legal matters for years to come! Not to mention, her staff is fabulous, friendly and professional!

In the 2 1/2 years that I retained Ellen Badeaux, I am $40,000 poorer and no better off. My case is still not settled and, at some point, she BECAME part of the problem. She made decisions without consulting with me, never returned my calls, emails and letters. She used her associates excessively and charged me to train them. I question her competence and her ethics. I was overcharged many times and her billing practices are vague and messy. Despite my many attempts to get her to communicate with me re strategies, plans on my case, the only communication I got from her was bills, bills, and more bills. The last straw came when I showed up in Court for a trial and was told that Ellen Badeaux had continued it because she had a conflict. Then the following week she charged me for the Motion of Continuance and related charges. I DO NOT TRUST HER AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!! I was used and abused by Ellen Badeaux. I wasted my time and my money!

She handled a dwi for my brother and my divorce 3 years ago. Thank god I called her both times. She is a definitely a ballbuster and worth every dime. She was always professional and courteous to me and gave my brother and I lots of good advice. The only thing I regret is not hiring her for my divorce from the get-go. I could have saved a lot of time and money if I had just used her initially.

Greedy woman ! I lost the case and she was wanting me to go to a a higher court wanting $10,000 as down payment. I and my ex reconciled and I regret having ever going to her. What a bi$#^ of a lawyer. Hope she loses her license.

Unprofessional staff…. rude at times, never returned calls. Horrible lawyer representation, six months into child custody case, hired for an additional unrelated case…She asked me if I had kids? I told her you’re working my child custody case! I missed that red flag.
Sloppy filing motions, no show for a couple of court dates, unprepared when she does show up late! The biggest mistake in my case… I do not recommend this firm you would be better off representing yourself and save yourself thousands of dollar.
