HORRIBLE person and a horrible attorney. He gets himself on local boards of the YWCA and and Center for Women and Families in Bridgeport to get business and to "help" women who have suffered from terrible domestic abuse. After desperate women like me who hire him, he racks up the rates, files motion after motion without your permission and sends you a HUGE bill. When you can't pay, he puts a lien on your house -- the very house that he told you that he wanted to save for you during the divorce proceedings. There are many good, smart and well-intentioned attorneys out there who want to help but Kieran is not one of them. He's just a greedy narcisstic attorney (went to the paltry University of Bridgeport Law School - the law school for dummies, LOL!)

Hiring Kieran was one of the worst decisions I made in my life. The personal ramifications on me and my children of his dishonesty, failures and arrogance are way beyond the hundreds of thousands of dollars that they cost me in real money. Not in a million years would I ever recommend Kieran.

If you're a woman run. I have never seen anyone do less to fight for me or my child. We are both disabled. I received more support from Family Relations than from these attorneys. I expected a professional and was given someone with one year of experience who concurred more with the opposition than with me, even after my ex's arrest for domestic violence.He couldn't even figure out a financial worksheet. If you want more abuse certainly hire Costello who will actually berate you. And when you need to go back for your child's choice of education expect to pay $3,000 for them to sit next to you and say nothing as the other attorneys rip you apart.

Mr. costello has been extremly helpful to me and my family in various situations. I recommend him highly. He personable, honest and knowledgable. I can't thank him enough for all he has done for me.

GREAT ATTORNEY!! He handled my divorce case with a well planned strategy from the beginning. My newly ex husband is paying me the rightful alimony and child support costs I deserve. Highly recommended.

I went to Kieran Costello for a simple divorce: no children, few assets, etc. He estimated the divorce to cost $3,000 - $5,000. The bill was inflated to over $10,000 and I had to stop the divorce because I ran out of money. Stay away!

I do not believe Attorney Costello to be accurate or fair in his billing statements and I believe his entire business is setup to pad the hours of his clients bills. The first day when I met with Atty Costello’s he gave me an estimate for what the total divorce should cost me. He stated it usually averages between $6,000 - $8,000 dollars. His total bill to me was approximately $49,000.00. That appears to be a bait and switch to me.
I believe that Atty Costello was representing the defendant more than his own client and he had very little interest vested in my case. Over the last few months I have met with several other lawyers in the district to discuss various issues and it is apparent that Mr.Costello is known for conducting business in this manner and something needs to be done to stop this from happening to his other clients that come to him for legal advice, council and help. This guy gives a bad name for all lawyers.

I gave Kieran Costello a large amount of money to help with a modification to my alimony and child support. I said after that money runs out stop all work because that was all I had. What a surprise when I got a huge bill way before the case was resolved. I had to finish it on my own and now he put a lien on my property. I am getting $1,800 less per month with three children and no money to pay him. Thanks Kieran - what a great guy!
