I had paid my full rent for 2005 at the beginning of 2005. Suddenly, on 12/21/05, my building manager, Dale Rosenson, started acting crazy--accusing me of not having paid rent. I tried to show him my lease to prove that I had paid. He refused to look at it. At one point, he walked up to me and put his face and body right in front of mine in order to taunt me. I did not take his bate and, after some verbal taunts from him, I just walked away. LaSalle Park Apartments and The Flats on LaSalle sued me for eviction. I saw attorney Brennon Holmes on 2/21/06. He refused to help me--asserting that it was all my fault for trusting my landlord and that I should have only paid rent one month at a time like everyone else does.
