I would not call what was discussed as our plan of action a promise. In fact, I was told their was no promise, but I also saw an awful lot of enthusiasm that fizzled or was no longer displayed once the rather large fee was paid. Granted, my case required a larger fee. I did get a satisfactory outcome in court, but I would not have paid unnecessary costs for filing paperwork which my lawyer had no intention of pursuing. All in all, I'm happy with the criminal court outcome and unhappy with the civil outcome. Tit for tat, another lesson learned.

My lawyer there promised me all kinds of things before I hired him, after I hired him, he completely stopped fighting and told me to plead guilty and if I tried to fight instead it would be "my consequence, not his"
