If you're looking for a lawyer to use your children's healt and welfare as bargaining chips he's your man!! Understanding these guys are no more then yes men and salesmen there comes a point when they need to know enough is enough, to go back and forth for a year and at the end of year the only difference from first draft of divorce to final was about twenty dollars, then ending up with an $18000.00 divorce bill kind of insane, this gentleman by no means has best interest of his clients only his own bank account.. Looking for a guy like that he's your man! Divorce is tough enough, last thing you need is someone just picking your pockets for zero reason other then his own self worth! Judges force lawyers on us, so there should be some kind of limits on how much a divorce cost!!

I just went through a horrible experience with Mike. I just spent many months with him as council for my divorce…and it was the worst decision I ever made. If you are looking for a "pitbull" lawyer...you need to look somewhere else. He will waste your time and resources. My divorce was a softball case. My ex husband had SO many legitimate things against him...I couldn’t lose. Well, thanks to his laziness, Mike found a way to lose. After all, he gets paid regardless! Now my children are in jeopardy. And on top of it...when confronted, he had the audacity to make excuses as to why ‘inaction’ was best. His mere existence should be considered an obstruction of justice. When you are in the fight of your life…this is like being kicked when you are down. If I didn’t know any better, I would say he was working for the other side. If you want somebody to listen to you, fight for you, and be on the side of justice...do not hire Mike Stein. This is exactly the type of lawyer you don’t want…

He handled my case and was fully aware of all issues and always available to answer my questions. I was equally impressed when other lawyers approached him in court and asked for help and advice.

He did not take an interest in my case. He was more concerned with receiving payment, then getting the results i wanted. The "tenacity" that i expected my lawyer to have in a divorce proceeding was almost non-existent. Aside from his office sending out a couple nasty letters to my ex-wifes lawyer, he gave no extra effort to secure a better outcome. Technical mistakes and lack of knowledge with my particular case drastically hindered my results, although he made no mention of not having experience working with military. He was impossible to reach by phone and even more difficult to reach in his office. Appointments were rushed, topics were not thoroughly discussed and his in-court demeanor was questionable. Instead of dicussing details with me, while in court he and my ex-wifes lawyer would banter playfully while the clock was ticking and money was coming out of my pocket. i would under no circumstances use him again and definitely do NOT recommend him!!!
