Paul assisted with me in both marriage and legal issues. He brings forth a lot of experience especially with Government contracts. However, in my case, with both simple and complex legal issues, he is very organized, clear, concise and effective. I would recommend this professional.

To the reviewer who said he is lazy: Did he also forge your signature on court documents, lie to you about court orders, file false information with the court, and try to extort money from the opposing counsel? If so, we should join forces and complain to the Bar together!

This lawyer is lazy, farms out the work to underlings, and is extremely unreliable. I have since finished my case but I am very displeased with the results. I am having to pay another attorney for legal advice on filing a with the bar association. Whoever rated him a 5 was likely he himself. Especially considering what is written. What a horrible experience.

I hired Paul in Sept 08 and will determine very shortly whether he and his fellow attorneys are competent. They started out with guns a blazing, but we have diminished to a fizzle. The jury is still out. I’ll be sure to post whether I am satisfied or not within the next few months. Here's my rating to date:

I like Paul's ability and approach of creating a Strategic Plan before proceeding with my case. It created a blueprint of my case, identified, analyzed, and prioritized all of the issues involved; created fallback strategies; all of which were geared towards preserving my key goals. As a result I was able to preserve the house for me and my children, and at the same time, make arrangements for spousal support that would guarantee their college education.

Highly recommended. Paul has over 35 years of experience not only in family law, but also in business, contract law, real estate, civil litigation, including numerous jury trials, financial and estate planning. Because my divorce was very complex, as I owned a business and had several real estate interests and investments, he was able to create a strategic plan which guided us through the divorce, facilitated a very fair settlement and ultimately saved time and money by avoiding trial.

Paul does not change for initial consultations and took the time to thoroughly go over my case. He even helped me develop a strategic plan for my case at the initial meeting. I was VERY happy with the work he did for me.

Refunded ALL of my money because I had a complaint of more than 20 pages to file with the Cal Bar Association citing gross acts of misconduct, negligence, and incompetence. I needed the money to retain a new attorney. If I did not I would have filed my complaint and he would have surely been disbarred. Since I desperately needed the money I agreed to not file the complaint if he refunded my money. We are not talking small problems but really major ones. The likes of which my new (competent) attorney has never seen in his long career. It has so far cost me twice as much to FIX the problems/mess caused by Paul Mousalam. Do NOT hire this idiot. He is deeply disturbed and incompetent.

This attorney overcharges for his services. He often does not show up for hearings, and if he does, he sits there and will stipulate to ANYTHING, even wrong facts, causing clients to have to pay higher support than required. He does not keep in contact with his clients. Check the California State Bar Associate website and you will see that this attorney was suspended from practice in 2002.
