We hired Bill Knox for my son. He bragged about being the best lawyer in Dallas. He is all talk and will lie to you until he gets your money. We paid him 10,000 and he did nothing but reset the case. He's too old and forgetful. He was always late and walked past you like he didn't know you. He wanted my son to take a plea deal and he wasn't guilty of the charges. You will come out better getting a court-appointed lawyer and get the same results. We fired him and got another lawyer and my son's case was dismissed! Don't walk but run from this attorney! He is very shady and all about money. You have been warned!! I will be writing a letter to the bar associate to have him investigated for horrible legal practices.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. He will blow you off the entire time you’re trying to figure out what’s going on with your case. He doesn’t communicate, lies 24/7 (I don’t even know if he is honest with his own self???????)/tells you what you want to hear, & just to get his money- he tries to get it FAST. Don’t trust him with your legal matters, as he is bound to take it all downhill. My husband had 1 serious charge & all I’ve witnessed is Mr. Knox just blowing us off & keeping us in the dark about the whole situation. Whenever we would call for updates (which he is supposed to do on his own), he only told us things like “we are doing good” & such. Promising bond hearings & other stuff, come to find out he was only telling us what we wanted to her & wasted so much of our time! Thanks for that, Mr. Knox! I caught him in several lies myself; he thinks he can get over on everyone-especially women. One of the most unethical people I’ve ever come across. All I can say is, hire him at your own risk.

I’ve been working with Bill Knox since 2018 for my DWI child felony case. He’s been persistent in letting me know that everything will be fine, and to trust his hard work and dedication that he has been inputting in my case. Today I’m here to proudly say that Bill was able to get my felony case dropped to a Class B Misdemeanor, with no jail time and 2 years probation! All I can say is WOW! Bill Knox made the impossible possible! I have a not so pretty criminal record and with a new probation violation, I was assured by Mr. Knox and his staff if I turned myself in and did the right thing he would make sure I was back home and sleeping in my own bed that same night! I was very nervous and unsure but he and his staff put my mind at ease and gave me the comfort I needed to be confident in his abilities and he was true to his word. By far this man is the best of the BEST! I will recommend him to any and everyone I know in need of legal counsel. I felt hopeless when I walked into his office last Saturday by the time I left I felt I had someone who was going to fight for me and get me through this. BEST decision I ever made. You cannot go wrong with this man. Bill did a fabulous job for me. I was in a very serious situation having been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. In addition, ICE placed an immigration hold on me which further complicated things. Bill Knox is the absolute best attorney out there. Several years ago in college, I was charged with a felony theft charge. I violated my probation and after a traffic stop, I was detained in Collin County (my charges were in McClennan County). I originally had no bond and thought I would be sitting in jail indefinitely. Bill Knox delivered. He negotiated with the judge to get a reasonable bond amount and was also able to buy me some time to pay back the probation fees I owed. He's extremely personable and kept me informed throughout the entire process. At my final court setting, the judge completely discharged me meaning I AM NO LONGER ON PROBATION. This could have went any number of ways and nearly all other attorneys suggested that I would have to spend some time in jail for violating the probation. If you want quality legal representation, no one does it better than Bill Knox!

Got a charge for possession under two ounces of marijuana. Bill Knox was hired by my mother while I was in jail and he promptly got me out. After that he was awful at communicating and as stated in other peoples testimonials he would only contact you when it came to payment. Not something you expect with no other knowledge of your case. I went to court and both times he was late. Gave me a choice between jail time and a lengthy probation and made me make the decision on the spot even though when we met at his office he said we wouldn't take the first deal. He gave me no options otherwise. He then turned me over to an attorney I never met before who o dos not feel comfortable finishing my case with since she had no knowledge of me or what I was there for. I feel he was very dishonest in the way he dealt with my case. He just came out and said the prosecutor says you have a bad record. Although I have had no convictions on my record up until I met him. Very dishonest do not waste your $.

Mr. Knox is very knowledgeable and highly respected in the legal system. My nephew and my entire family are forever grateful for his legal counsel. Prior to my nephew being referred to Mr. Knox, my nephew was told that he could get 7 to 10 years or more in the Huntsville Penitentiary if found guilty. We were all devastated at the thought of the possibility of my nephew going to prison. I made some horrible mistakes/decisions due to using meth with friends and drugs kill lives and volumes of fines. Bill and his staff helped me monitor my court dates, offer expertise for my cases and had very positive relations with court judges and relative court individuals. I have one more case left but he has already said he'd help with expungement at no cost because of all thats been paid, so he is a reasonable person and considerate that a 23 yr old has no money but a bright future. This guy is the reason attorneys have such bad reputations. His only correspondence is when your never-ending legal fees are due. He is not transparent about his fees at all. He will promise a favorable outcome at the beginning and then pressure you with overblown consequences to get you to pay up and save you. The as payments come in he will reset the dates until his wallet is full. Still continuing with the promises all along. Insisting you tell other's he is a good lawyer. He is always late and rushed when he talks to you in court and rarely will you get a satisfactory answer for your questions. You could save yourself a lot of stress and thousands of dollars by hiring a Public Defender. The outcome will probably be the same. He will end up pleading your case and going with the first deal offered, just as a public defender would do. He may have a big billboard and a memorable number but those are the only qualifications for this southern sleaze of an attorney.

I had the unfortunate need to hire an attorney quickly and a friend of mine found Mr. Knox. He was amazingly quick to respond immediately had the ball rolling and was wonderful to my family and me. At 38 years old I had never been in trouble before and was humiliated, ashamed and pretty much a complete mess. Mr. Knox and his team were so gracious and kind. They didn't talk down to me, make me feel bad or criticize anything I did. They were very understanding, compassionate and made me feel so much better (at least as much as they could).
I'll admit the process is LONG, but Mr. Knox and his team stayed with it through the end and communicated with me the whole way. They even helped me out several months later to workout a driver license issue at no extra cost - WOW! His team of attorneys were wonderful, especially Mrs. Miracle. This was a very serious accusation that could have devastated my son's livelihood. Mr Knox was refered to me by one of my friends, who was very pleased with the outcome of his case. Me Knox has always been very accessible and accommodating. I was facing two TDC felonies for 10lbs of marijauna in a drug free zone and delivery in a drug free zone. He always maintained a calm and cool attitude toward my case with made me feel better about it. My bond was forfeited and mr Knox had a new bond reinstated within a week. My son was arrested back in September and needed to get out quickly because of school. I called Bill Knox's office and my son was out of jail 3 hours later. I hired Mr. Knox to represent my son in court. Fast forward 9 months later and his case never went to court so I called his office requesting I get my $1,000 refunded. Attorney Bill Knox should be disbarred, because he is very unethical and his business practice is horrible. He lied about being a good jury trial attorney. But all he is good for is using scare tactic to get innocent people to take a plea bargain. He never once found against the false accusations against me, when he was given overwhelming evidence to prove my innocents and have this case dismissed. I gave this man over $9,000 and he did nothing in my defense. He is too old and forgetful. This is why he let his son Jeff who's not an attorney or paralegal review evidence with you and Jeff is the one in the office asking you legal question along with him. My brother was arrested on Christmas Morning while driving to my Grandmother's for Christmas Day. My family was panicked because we thought this would be my Grandmother's last Christmas. We called Bill Knox at 214-500-0000 and he answered his own phone and helped us on Christmas Day. Can you believe it? Bill Knox had my brother released from jail by twelve noon on Christmas Day and my brother spent Christmas with our family and my Grandmother who has since passed. Bill Knox has gotten the criminal case against my brother dismissed and he is in the process of having all the records expunged. Bill Knox explained that expunction means elimination of all the records including the arrest record. My family is grateful to Bill Knox. He was available to us on Christmas Day and each time we called. He was very polite, funny, and believe me he knows the law. My family loves him.

Bill Knox and his son are the worst attorneys I have ever worked with. I have over 15 years of legal experience working with attorneys in criminal law. He is also a bondsman, which is a conflict of interest in my opinion, because it is in his interest to extend your case for his personal financial gain. He has a practice of charging his clients a set fee per week ($100.00 in many cases), and he doesn't give his clients any information and delays the court dates to prolong these fees. When asked, he will reply that any overcharge will be reimbursed upon completion of the case. Does this sound like a professional? He is often not prepared and has little concern for his clients cases, except when it comes to billing and collecting cash from them. Mr. Knox and his son are well known in the Dallas County Courthouse as having a dubious reputation by many people in the legal profession. I strongly urge anyone seeking legal help to look elsewhere if you want results and peace of mind.

In my opinion, good lawyer. This was first time being in trouble with law. He got my case dismissed in pre-trial court of Collin County on minor misdemeanor. He kept me updated on status of my case and always maintained high level of service and professionalism. I recommend him as one of the best lawyers in DFW. Seems as if all negative reviews about Mr Knox mention money. I paid what I was asked to pay and couldn't be happier. Of course, I'm a professional myself so I don't expect other people to do a bunch of work for free and then complain if I don't receive great service.

Worst lawyer I have every dealt with. Took 2500.00 to work a case and did nothing with it. I had to tell him when I was indicted, no push for the evidence. All he wanted to do was sit back and wait for the state to prove their case, kept tell us "you don't have to defend yourself, the state has to prove your guilty". So the state is pulling bs out their bag of tricks, he just calls to make sure I can make another payment. After 5 months or so of this, I tell him let's push to go to trial. He says he needs over 10,000, don't remember the exact dollar amount. So I told him I don't need your services anymore. I get a court appointed lawyer and 4 weeks later the case was dismissed. After I sat with the court appointed lawyer, he went and check what I told him. A week after that he told me he is pushing for a courtdate, because the state doesn't have a case and doesn't see why the case hasn't been dropped. He ask who was my old lawyer and he just shook his head. I will not recommend bknox.

I tried bonding my bf out about 2 months ago and they gave me the run around at first then later said they couldn't because of his record. I went to Bill Knox and he suggested we try to resolve the case instead of bonding him out. He said he could get the felony dropped to misdemeanor & get time served since he'd already been there almost 2mons. He gave me a price and that's what I paid. I asked if it would be more and he said not unless case got difficult. My boyfriend was ready to plead guilty and sign for atleast 6 months TDC time... thank God that Bill was able to get him 60 days state jail time in county jail and he'd already served 65. I was in tears when I got the call that he was coming home to me. I was trying to prepare myself for more months without him and Bill made it possible for it to just be a few hrs from the day he went to court. Thanks Bill Knox! I will definitely recommend him to others.

This is the first time doing anything like this so it is hard to give a rating over it. He was the FIRST lawyer to actually answer the call. I didn't have to wait long at all, to speak with Mr. Knox. He assured me that he would be able to get my loved one released that night or the next day. He called me to update me on everything. However, I wasn't quite a fan of him sending me texts stating "Can you come to my office with $7,500 and I can get him out today." There was one 'negative' rating that really made me more open minded to the whole thing, like I said, this is my first time doing anything of the sort like this. I made sure I didn't tell him I had money to spare because luckily what I had was what his bond was set to be. His bond was 75,000 so I had to dish out $7,500. Wasn't too happy about that but it is what it is. Tomorrow morning we have to report to a judge and see what the damage is. One rule in advice.....TAKE CARE OF YOUR SH*T!

Bill is a magnificent lawyer and has been my lawyer for almost a year now on two serious cases. He has been taking care of everything for me. I have not worried about anything since I hired him. He calls me to inform me of important information and court dates. He is reasonable and affordable. I went through many lawyers before I actually got to Bill, and I would recommend him to everyone.

Bill Knox is a flat out liar! He is unorganized and unprofessional! My brother had a felony case in Denton county that he claimed he could help him with. Bill Knox was late for EVERY court date. He delayed his case several time consistently lied to my brother about how he was going to handle case. My brother is has been in jail for 7 months and still unaware of the out come of his case due to Bill Knox lying and showing up late to court and delaying his case. On top of that you can't get him on phone only leave msg that he will nit return. O but he can send a bill or a text to say you owe him something promptly! He has the knowledge but you will have to cross your finger that he will use it on your case. He will put you on the back burner and forgot about your case. He use his dumb quotes- who's the best lawyer in the land? Don't pay him period. Waste of money "my friend"

I searched for a lawyer rating website specifically so that I can find a way to tell people about my horrible experience with Bill Knox. I had a felony case years ago that was my first charge ever. I paid a LOT of money to get him on my case, but apparently not enough. He didn't listen to any of my requests of trying to reduce probation and only showed up at my final hearing. His exact words to me after I asked him what to do now.. "call me in 5 years." Here I am 6 years later, I've left him 3 messages asking how to get my record cleared- and he just can't be bothered to call me back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. He will treat you like a pain in his.... neck.

I am very pleased and satisfied that I followed the advice of my trusted friend in getting Mr. Bill Knox to represent me. The first day that I met him, he assured me that he had represented many clients with cases like mine and for me not to worry. My wife was arrested while I was deployed to Iraq. Bill Knox worked hard to get my wife’s case thrown out of court before it went to trial. Although some lawyers try to take the easy route by recommending deals with the DA that require community service, Bill and his staff believed in my wife’s innocence and did not recommend us pursuing any deals. My family is grateful for the efforts that he and his staff gave to us. As arrests are something that are unplanned and can happen to anyone, I would trust Bill and his staff to assist my family again (if needed).

I highly recommend Bill Knox as a Criminal Defense Attorney. Bill represented me in a DUI case and I was very satisfied with the Court's ruling. Bill did an outstanding job representing me for a DUI. I believe that because he is so knowledgeable and personable with the judges - I received a lighter sentence. His presentation was awesome and I was very pleasd with the sentence I received because I thought the worst. Bill is very well known and respected. No attorney in Dallas will answer your call or take your case after 4:00 pm on Friday. No attorney will work for you over the weekend. But Bill Knox was there to help me. He didn't only take my case after 4 pm, he also answered all my calls at 2,4, and 5:00 AM on Saturday morning. He went to the county for me on Saturday and helped my relative to post the bail. He came to his office on both Saturday and Sunday to help solving my relative's case, and explained all the solutions and he comforted us. Before Monday morning, we already knew that Bill would would have taken care of everything for us to our satisfaction. He is very experienced, and knowledgable. He knows the system and he knows who to call to help him to help you. Don't forget, you had already comitted a crime by the time you called him. So he can't go back in time and prevent you committing a crime, but he will try his best to get you out of it with the least damage. And believe me, he means it when he calls you "My Friend".

I hire this attorney based upon his experience. I asked him if he handled case in this county and he stated yes. I paid him, and he did not show up for my hearing, he sent another attorney. In addition, he sent me a letter saying I owed him 5000.00 and during our in office conversation he told me 1500.00. Currently we are preparing a affadavit to present to the Bar on how he has handled my case.

I was arrested and indicted for a crime that I did not commit. I hired and fired two lawyers BEFORE I contacted Bill Knox's office but neither of those first two attorneys would listen to me or try to do what I thought needed to be done on my case. Mr. Knox's office not only listened but they got the case dropped. Bill's brilliant son Chris was the lawyer that helped me the most. Chris Knox is a great lawyer. And he's HOT!!! Bill had a great attitude and I was very thankful for their help. Anybody who says his office doesn't know what they are doing doesn't understand the law. I would recommend Chris Knox as a lawyer to EVERYONE. He's the best in Dallas. And Bill too...

He only helped get my loved one out of jail , but when it came down to taking care of the situation he never got communicated with us on how the court would try to sentence my husband, and worst of all he didnt show up to court for my husband when he was supposed too...dont waist your money "my friends"

He was good at getting me out of jail, but when it came time to getting evidence about my case and helping me not get indited, he did a horriable job. He told me and my family to wait. That is the worst thing you can do. He lied to my face and to my families face about what the best way to fight the false accusations against me. I wasted $2500.00 on him and he did nothing but let my trial go through the Grand Jury without presenting any evidence of me being innocent. He is too old to show any type of energy or enthuasim for a case. He is only good for a plea bargin. If you are innocent DO NOT USE THIS MAN. When you are waiting for him in the hallways of the court house in Dallas, he pretends he does not know you, and he will lie to you, in order for you to keep paying him money. He is only good at representing GUILTY people. Don't buy any of the adds he has in the phone book. I would not recomend him to anyone looking for justice!!!
