I wish i could give this attorney ZERO stars...I am so disappointed and heartbroken. He seemed like a good guy but hes nothing moee than a salesman!! 30,000 $$ later for a horrible outcome..he didnt care about my daughter he just wanted to go to trial and take all my money...never hire this guy !!!

Nicholas Colangelo is a very deceptive, sneaky attorney who is grossly irresponsible and uses sleazy tactics to manipulate the court system. He is not forthcoming and likes to take people for all they're worth by feeding them lies and not being honest about the realistic outcome of a situation. He was not even prepared for court and likes to drag things out as long as possible for maximum payout.

Does everything he can to prolong your case and increase his payday , with that said I should have known better when at our first meeting he asked how I was going to pay for the proceedings and then said you know it may get expensive but where not talking about a camper or a motorcycle but your children here, your children are priceless.... and then sells you down the river after grabbing 50 grand

Nick prolonged my case to optimize his charges to me. I obtained full custody of my boy after 1 year with a new attorney. Something Nick wasn't able to accomplish in 7 years when my case was at it's strongest.

Mr. Colangelo , long story short he constantly plays defense and does everything possible to drag your case hoping for trial and thousands of dollars out of your pocket getting there, to the tune of over 40 grand on my case... My divorce settlement agreement was then reached under purgury by my x wife with mr. Colangelo having full awareness of this and proof by his many conversations with the ri attorney generals office confirming this. The Best part is he then turns around and represents my x wife a year later in her new case against the father of her new child. With a flip of the coin and another big payday he jumps at the chance to represent her . He has no morals or loyalty to his client especially after having such great knowledge of misconduct in his new client.

i think he is a very bad lawyer..He doesn't stand up in court to defend me with my dcyf case. He basically agrees with whatever the state says. He doesn't try to get my children home. He never returns my phone calls. He has no knowledge of was going on in and out of the courtroom. He overcharges you to do nothing,to send letters to your home telling you,u have a courtdate and by the time you get it,its too late and already passed.He is a piss poor excuse of a lawyer if u ask me. Wen all is said n done im gona have a civil lawsuit against u nicholas Colangelo..

I went to Nick twice many years ago. The first time he represented me he was terrific. The second time he was distracted, not focused on the case at all, failed to do his due diligence with respect to the case and then tried to overbill me. I guess he had gotten busier when I hired him the second time and because of that, did not focus and did a pretty poor job. Plus he tried to overbill me which was pretty bad.

Did not seem to devote much time to this case, was not prepared when in court. Always on the defense. Lost every time we went to court, filed many motions but never had them brought up in court , never replies to emails. Waited many months to file for child support stating it would be retroactive but never brought up 10 months of back child support in court. Most of the time he had no idea what would be brought up in court and the apposing council controlled what was dis used at each hearing. Nicholas just tried to play defense. But since he had no idea what they were going to bring up he was never well prepared to defend it. He is a good salesman and will tell you what you want to hear before you hire him but never delivers in the courtroom. I would never recommend him.

Coangelo is a horrible lawyer, he was juggling to many cases at once. He showed up late, didn't do his due diligence and fact finding so most of his questioning was on incorrect or only partially correct facts. While he has tenacity, he had to use it in defense mode due to fact that he didn't know the full truth about his clients cas or his client for that matter

yes he is the best,dcyf scare of his presence,knows law,he gave me most right advices about everything exsept he didnt want to do one thing on my case that I asked him to do and I dont know why,maybe because he didt want to do it or what?Bu over all i might say the one of the best.
