Horrible lawyer! he rarely had time to discuss my case, full of excuses. He did not present key evidence that i asked him too. He represented me in a child support case, its no doubt in my mind that he sold me out to the opposing attorney. He pretended to have my best interest at heart, but he gave very little effort once we got in court. Using him as an attorney one may get the best end of the deal, but its only because of the nature of the court system; otherwise you will be wasting your money dealing with him. A lot of the negative comments from the other reviewer is true in my case also.

Mr. Larry Hoyle has represented me for over 10 years and the last thing he handled for me was a child custody case! He took my case and never doubted me nor did he ever lead me to believe I would lose! So the outcome of this case was that I won full custody of my son and for that I OWE Larry Hoyle a huge THANK YOU! What a Awesome job and a job that was well done and planned out! If I had it to do over again I would choose Larry out of all the Lawyers in Gaston county to represent me on anything that comes my way!

I have had mr. Hoyle several times the last few years an he has gotten me off every single time he even got a felony I had thrown out by the DA didn't even go before a judge would say he's as good as David Phillips

He has been my attorney for over the last 20 years. He represented me in a nasty child custody battle. He represented me in traffic offenses that he got thrown out of court.

Claims to be a Christian, gave him money to help a friend whos incarcerated. He did nothing and would not refund my money so dont waste your money with him!!! He needs to turn his licenses to practice law in and get a job at McDonalds but hell they probably wouldn't hire him.

Horrible, HORRIBLE man. We can NEVER get ahold of him & the few times we have, he told us he would call us back later that day & never has. He lost very important documents we gave him & to put it simply, treats his clients like crap.

We hired Mr. Hoyle to represent our daughter and paid him $1,500.00. He went on "a planned long ago family vacation" according to his secretary, during a very crucial time, forcing us to hire another defense attorney to cover for him since he did not even appear for scheduled court dates. He would not return our calls and never spoke to our daughter or the District attorney. We spoke to him about returning a portion of our money and although he agreed and promised to send it to us he never did even after countless calls. Mr. Hoyle was very unreliable and untrustworthy leaving us to wonder what we paid him for. Steer clear of this one. He took our money and left us without representation.

This is not a five star attorney! I hired Mr. Hoyle in 2009 and he was full of promises. After five years of trust and excuses, I found out the hard way he was taking me for my money. Every time we had a court date he would cancel. (Vacations,another trial or he wanted a different judge.) I lost my seperation support, alimoney, retirement fund from the railroad and two homes. By hiring another attorney, is the only way I found out this information. He is married to a judge in gastonia and that's how he is able to get away with it. He has been turned into the NC BARR. My advise, if you care about your family. Do not hire Larry Hoyle as your attorney!

Larry was pleasant upon initial consultation but once I paid him he stopped communicating with me. I called the office every day in regard to my case and they told me every excuse in the book (vacation, court, in a meeting) I ask to schedule a meeting and they said he was booked for over a month. Then I called back pretending to be a potential client and got an appointment the next day. Later he filed an order to withdraw. Basically he/they (Sean McIlveen) took me for $6000.00 Thats my opinion and what happened.

I realize my case was a petty case but he didn't even bother to try and look at it just kept demanding more money. I never felt reassured by him at anytime and he even showed up two hours late for one of my cases just to continue it since he hadn't bothered to look at the case. Every court date I have had he has continued. I am planning on firing him the next time I speak to him and let him know he will not receive another penny from me. If anything, he owes me a refund. Do not hire him for anything. He never calls you or even tries to communicate with you, his staff is very rude and I have never had an appoitment that he wasnt late for. I wish I never hired him in the first place.

never returns calls, always late for court, doesn't devote any time to clients or preparation of their defense, not up to date on laws,definitly would not recommend anyone hire Mr. Hoyle unless it was to get out of paying a parking ticket, in which case you would probably still lose
