He promised me that if he didn't get me sole custody of my newborn he would retire. My sociopathic abuser obtained sole custody because none of my evidence was submitted and he would not listen to what me or anyone else had to say. Severely negligent. I hope he retires before he ruins more lives.

Horrible experience for me and my wallet! I feel he dragged my case out far longer than needed. I replaced him with another lawyer (Phaedra Klodner)and had an immediate settlement in my favor. Horrible communication as I had no idea what was happening or what his plan was for my case. Would not recommend him.

I worked with Mr. Wellhauser a few years back and I am glad to see he has not changed. He is exactly described by all previous reviews. Mr. Wellhauser led me to believe this was a simple matter of family law. When I was being attacked by my Ex's lawyer he never once defended me. The allegations put against me were proven to be false 2 months after the case was closed and he never ever lifted a finger to help me. For a years worth of bills and telling me how strong our case was he told me on the day before court that we were in serious trouble. I have spoke to another lawyer from out of town and reviewed my case with him . He told me that this lawyer should be disbarred for incompetence . Stay very far away ...

Never failed when I would go see him about my case I would spend a significant amount of time hearing about his wife and kids.. plus how many case he win, When it was over with I was left with a bill I struggled to pay because my ex husband got everything. If you need help with a divorce I would run far away from this man!!! Worse lawyer is Edmond (Ted) Wellhauser

Terrible, terrible, terrible! He dragged my case for two years, that cost me a lot of money and nerves. And finally it comes out that he did an omission in my court order. now a year after the case is finalized I have to go to the court again to make ammendments! he was supposed to do it but never called me back! I have no desire to deal with him again although he has to rectify his mistake. I'd better find another lawyer.Easily calls other people and lawyers as 'idiots' and thinks too much of himself.

He is my first legal experience in my life and in Canada. Total nightmare! My simple starightforward case is being procractinated for 18 months now (child custody, child support and divorce). No property issue is involved. Gave me the hope it is easy to do in a couple of months and as result the case is still there with no outcome. I spent a few thousands for nothing. no results at all. he still requires another few thousands to finalize the case and does not guarantee any success. Does not keep his promises, gives unrealistic time-frames which he really does not intend to fulfil. Exptremely hard to understand what he means, does not explain thoroughly and clearly. I will never recommend him to anyone.

i hate my first experience with family law and divorce , Mr wellhauser was not the right one to be starting with , he get me pay him lots of bucks and did nothing on my file for almost a year he knew what and how to solve my case very soon but decided to keep it aside to get more money from me claiming it was out of "pocket costs "he promies me to get my kids custody and child support since we started but nohting change dinstead he gave the chance for my ex husband and his girlfriend to be free moving all the money and moving out of area with my kids , as a frustrated mother i say dont go to this lawyer he is not the right one to fight your rights .

Got the result that I needed! Everything was laid out in the first meeting and we followed the plan right through to the trial. It really lowered my stress levels to finally end a chapter of my life that was difficult.

I never met the man although I spoke to him twice. he told me how he and carolyn ruth thomas discussed my case. thomas screws her clients. i found mr. wellhauser forthright although he would not take my case to purse conspiracy charges against thomas and lois cheryl stelzer.
