This attorney was overseeing the division of property in a divorce. She was doing great until it was time to select the real estate agent to sell the house. The agent that she very strenuously promoted was one she had a long term business relationship with. This agent was seeking a commission of 10% on the sale. The current standard for the real estate industry is 5-6%. No one was told what commission the agent would be seeking,We were simply advised to sign with him. Believing our attorney had our interest in mind we did not see that we were about to be fleeced. Fortunately a third party brought this to our attention before the signing. This could have cost us as much as $30,000. In a time of great emotional stress when I was trusting that the attorney I employed would be looking after my interest, it appears she was looking after her own.

I am very pleased with Ms. Tillinghast's work. I finally found someone that not only knows the law but also she is sharp, straight forward and most importantly she cares about people. Also, she responds to me in a very timely manner. I highly recommend her.
