BEWARE ! Overpriced, argumentative and obnoxious. Just likes to hear himself talk to run up the bill. He doesn't care about the client or the family, just his fee. You can find much better.

Excellent lawyer providing ample resources which allowed for decisions to be made all while consulting you of your legal rights and the issues at hand. Does not miss a detail in documentation (either his or theirs)and has your best interest at heart. My experience is that he avoided litigation to avoid unnecessary emotional and financial expenses. This advice was correct and created for a peaceful solution to be resolved by both parties. Very knowledgeable and conscientious about what is at stake (especially in custody issues). Very pleased with final results and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

This lawyer is very costly and produces nil results. He has his own agenda and when you request that he proceed in a certain way he advises strongly against it. Requested repeatedly that a settlement offer be made but he discouraged same and, as a lawyer is supposed to have your best interests in mind, you believe him. After 6 months and an atrocious amount of money nothing has been accomplished beyond custody settlement. He does not push for results and seems content to sit back and wait for court while I am close to bankruptcy because of his fees and mounting bills from covering all debts as my ex is not being made accountable for his portion. With 2 young kids to support he is very unsympathetic to the financial issues and just seems to want the fight to continue. Avoind this lawyer at all costs or it will cost you dearly.

Horrible Lawyer! Bills way to much and the quality of work is very poor. The fact he is forced to take on legal aid work must tell you something. Good lawyers dont have to!

Although Elliott is not a very compassionate person, he is very tenacious and seems to have the kids' interest at front. He is good at laying out the options and letting me decide the course of action. He responds to e-mails and messages promptly and does a good job of keeping the paper trail. His billing practice does not seem to be any better or worse than any other lawyer. It is what it is. One of the other posts mentionned that he does not have a good rep with his peers but I have not heard the same, except that he does not have a good rep at legal aid. Maybe because he is ruthless, making their job more difficult?

Bad = Lack of attention to detail. "Creative" billing to the last nano-second. Rambles on anectdotally during office visits - hence more billable time. Unsympathetic. Hypersensitive to criticism. Good = Bull dog. Suffers no fools.

After consulting with him for over a year he asked "how many children do you? while we arrived for a case conference!!! I was furious with his performance during the case conference. He did give my ex-wife and I common ground. We both agreed that he is totally and incredibly incompetent. I later found out he has a poor reputation among his peers as well.
