Click to report rating    4/25/16   5     5     5     5     5   I am very shocked to say the least of Ted's ratings!! Although I retained him in 1996 for divorce, child custody, and child support he was very thorough, (I am a woman) never condescending, and we won everything I asked for! Maybe after years of success it went to his head!! RID: 168438
Click to report rating    6/24/14   1     1     1     1     1   He is rude, arrogant and interrupts you as you speak. We paid $3500 retainer and got nothing. When we asked him why nothing had happened yet , he told us we hadn't completed his paperwork. We were in his office for over an hour and no one mentioned any other paperwork. My opinion is that he's the reason most people hate attorneys. RID: 138704
3/7/14   1     1     1     1     1   Gave this man the benefit of the doubt after reading all his horrible reviews.....shame on me. The reviews are here for a reason, read them and believe this man is arrogant, and rude. We were there all of 10 minutes listening to him tell stories about other cases and he had his radio playing music so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves think. He inturrupted us everytime we tried to speak. He knew before we got there our case was in hillsborough county but decided after talking to us he didn't take cases out of polk county. He decided that when he realized we didn't have thousands of dollars because " he is expensive" his words. I will also be reporting him to the bar and bbb. He's not a kind person who wants to help people all he cares about is more money. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy! RID: 133417

Click to report rating    12/14/12   1     1     2     1     1   A Modification in Child Support took SIXTEEN MONTH AND A COST OF $14,000 after being told (16 months earlier) that it was going to cost $3500. It would have [almost] been worth it, but the DAY BEFORE COURT Ted Weeks told me we were NOT ready. He said that without my most current income tax returns we would not prevail. When I asked him why he did not mention this in the SIXTEEN MONTHS of preparation, he THREW my file on his desk and said, "We'll do the best we can". We went to court and the Judge denied the motion for that very reason. Ted Weeks is too busy entering time spent on your case, as you are billed by the 10th of an hour for EVERY minute he spends on your case, that he MISSED THE MEAT AND POTATOES. What a HORRIBLE and EXPENSIVE NIGHTMARE. STAY AWAY FRO THIS GUY or get ready to shell out a lot of money for a "Rookie" job. Actually I think a Rookie would do better. RID: 96742

11/25/12   2     1     1     1     1   I wish I had read these reviews prior to hiring him. Exactly as these reviews state. He markets himself wonderfully at the initial meeting. He takes the $5000 retainer and proceeds to drag the case out. He knows all the tricks. He colluded with the other attorney in order to drag the case out by agreeing with the other attorney not to agree to terms I instructed him to agree to. He pads his bill. When I fired him he tried to jack me for another $1200. When I reported him to the Florida Bar, he billed me another $2400 for his time spent responding the my Bar complaint. He is a loser and should not be allowed to practice law. RID: 95525

7/12/11   2     1     1     1     1   When I thought he was acting unethically, I checked his record much later than I should have. He's been suspended from the bar and put on probation for three years. Here's what I found at the Florida Bar's website: "Weeks allegedly knew of a conflict of interest and did not fully disclose to a client the possible effect of that conflict; caused injury or potential injury to a client; and knowingly engaged in conduct that was a violation of a duty owed as a professional and caused injury or potential injury to a client, the public, or the legal system. (Case no. SC03-565 and SC03-1220)" http://www.floridabar.org/TFB/TFBPubl...) RID: 48414
Click to report rating    2/16/11   1     1     1     1     1   This attorney is absolutely horrible. He takes money, does nothing and lies to his clients. He has a low opinion of women, and makes this obvious. He has yelled and berated me in his office, and I was his client. I paid a retainer for services he did not render, and he continued to lie about it. I have children to support and he took my money without filing the documents to get me child support, and did not even file my divorce documents. He should be disbarred immediately. RID: 41154
Click to report rating    8/6/10   1     1     1     1     1   Mr. Weeks is by far the worst attorney I have ever been involved with. He demanded 10,000 paid in full just to retain him. He would not even start case until paid in full. He blew thru the 10 grand filing emotions over and over by just amending them. He then padded his bill with an additional $7500 before quitting. He produced zero results, then held my files with all needed documents to proceed for new attorney hostage for remaining money he claimed were owed. He treats women as if they are beneath him. I would recomend any one thinking of hiring him to think again... RID: 33045
Click to report rating    10/13/09   5     3     1     1     1   His last words to me were " It is unfortunate that you do not choose to continue to grease the wheels of justice, so I can call Judge Stargel and have him sign your Child Support Order". He said this after almost two years on my case that he claimed who only takes a few months when I hired hime. He told Judge Jones that he would file a UCCJEA in May, that would have allowed me to keep my children in Michigan, and never did, just so he could keep the case active in Polk County. He never had the best interests of my children in mind, just continuous billing. When he/they say they work "well" with another law office, this means they mutually agree to utilize every motion and delay technique to prolong your case for years. After speaking to other former clients, we have conconcluded that Mr. Weeks attempts to keep a client for 3 years of $30,000, whichever comes first. He is a big fish on a small pond, and although I am still a single parent with no child support. Small pond equals small a RID: 23105
12/5/08   1     1     1     1     1   He obviously has issues with supporting women and shows complete bias against you going in as a woman. Would not reccomend any female to use this man. Too animated and too much of a smartalic as well as belittling of his own female clients RID: 14140
Click to report rating    12/30/07   3     1     2     1     1   Retained Mr. Weeks a few years ago. He took my money , but that was it. He sounded good, and was good out of the gate , but in real short order, Ted made it clear he was out for his own payday. He rufused to return calls , and to file paperwork. His own receptionist could'nt believe his inactivity. Would not recommend this guy for anything. RID: 6950
