She’s educated, punctual, caring; yet authoritative. I was between a rock and a hard spot when she agreed to take on my messy case. She completed more work in one week than my previous attorney had accomplished in six months.

By the time Mediation came up I had no confidence in my attorney’s competence, communication, and knowledge. I consulted with another attorney and was told that the respondent attorney would “eat her up” in mediation. I had to sign up with the attorney to the tune of $7500, which I couldn’t afford. I would have gone to mediation, yet I had zero confidence with my attorney. She was rude, didn't follow through with the information I compiled, and questioned me on the validity of my findings. The case ended up with me losing MY House, Alimony, and medical expenses to the tune of $100k per year. I would have gone to mediation, yet had no confidence in Katie. There was a million dollar property and trust involved that she totally caved on, due to her inexperience & lack of knowledge she didn't pursue. I ended up with losing my house, alimony & $100k/year medical bills. The sad part is that Katie did not protect our son's interest, who stands to get nothing upon the death of his dad

Like mother .... like son. Kathryn and her son Lance practice in the same. Willfully taking on the form of falsifying case background, facts and clear law for their clients should raise questions. Sanctions should be enforced. Be very wary on the absence of ethical compliance with fees. Especially Lance, as he's been caught egregiously billing unnecessary fees for his clients' in which they've been forced to absorb.

We hired Katie for my brother's divorce and since I was paying for her services I had many interactions with Katie. I found her to be forgetful, disorganized, and not trustworthy. Unfortunately it was too close to mediation and we had already paid a lot of money to switch to another lawyer, in retrospect, I wish we had. She made many errors in her correspondence and at times her email messages seemed incoherent. She admitted that she was not prepared for mediation, in which it showed, and she argued with me on financial information that I had worked weeks on that showed the money my brother’s ex-wife had stolen from their joint accounts and moved in to her accounts. Katie for some reason felt it was not important, it wasn’t until I forced her to look at the spreadsheets at which point she had not choice, this information helped my brother’s case with no thanks to her. She also reneged on her verbal agreement and charged me more than she said she would.

Ms.Goff was very unprofessional with our case, and very unorganized. We came to appointments that we had to pay for and she was not prepared.During one meeting she was rude to us. She made accusations of my wife, which we came back with a bank statement to exonerate her and was given no apology. She traumatized my wife when she was already under a traumatic situation. We continued to finish the case with her as we were already almost through with the situation and did not want to start all over with another lawyer.We would not choose Ms. Goff again, and would not recommend her to others.

I wish I had read these reviews before I hired her. I agree with these reviews. She was unprofessional, unprepared & over-charged for her services. I hired her to represent me in a divorce. She never read the pre-nup agreement that I gave to her at my first meeting. She admitted this once my divorce was final.

I am very sorry to have not seen the above review before hiring Ms. Goff. She displayed all of the same bad conduct listed above: she was very unorganized, did not take time to communicate or even become familiar with the facts & details of my case. I did most of the research on my own & provided her with many clearly marked files & even then she couldn't find pertinent information on court day. Her assistant prepared her court book with sticky notes! for her & the first time she actually saw what was in the book was when she stood up in court! She was unable to get evidence admitted due to her lack of knowledge. She tried to familiarize herself with the case as I was being cross examined so she wasn't able to pay attention or object to one thing! She was very unprofessional inside & outside of court. Worse, she was unfamiliar with the laws relating to my case & made a fool of herself & of me in court. She is a disgrace, & I feel that I was grossly overcharged for her incompetence.

This lawyer was unable to win our case. Before and during the case she was incredibly unprofessional and unprepared. Every chance she had to nickel and dime us she did. The end result was a fumbling idiot standing up to represent us in court. She laughed when we wanted to meet with her before the hearing, to go over our case. She did not do her homework for the case and therefore had no information to help us in court. She couldn't even remember our names in front of the judge. She did not even argue the case, but just let the other lawyer talk. If all lawyers are like this then I'm never going to hire one again. I have lost all faith in the justice system because of her. A child has been taken away from his family because this incompetent woman truly didn't care. Whatever you do, don't hire her. Good luck!
