I hired william maze for 5k for a dui. Mr Maze was unable to attend some of the hearings so he got another lawyer to cover for him. I read another review which said Mr. Maze is all about signing you up. That was very true in my case. Im unable to be more specific so I dont reveal my identify. But Mr. Maze tried to get me into a particular type of probation. But later on, he could not even explain how that program worked. When he was negotiating with tbe prosecutor, Mr. Maze indicated he got me a better deal by somehow getting my case assigned to a different prosecutor. He would not tell me how he got someone else assigned to my case. I dont believe he got my case assigned to someone else. I feel like I paid a premium of 5k and ended up getting the same.standard sentence that everyone gets in that county for that offense. He seems to know his dui stuff, but he also does alot of puffing about certain things.

4-20-12 I was in a DUI jury trial today with William and he was amazing. After blowing a .15 on the BAC I was received a NOT GUILTY verdict

He knows his dui stuff - but he is horrible at returning your calls and showing up on time and communicating with the client. When you first meet him, he is all about chatting with you and signing you on, and then you never hear from him again, except to show up for you in court. And he is never on time. Every time we went to court, he was over an hour late. You are nervous enough being there, and then waiting for this clown to finally show up and then he shows up and he's not even sure what he is doing. We paid a lot of money to get the job done and I would not recommend him to be your main counsel - he does know the dui law but should be hired only to consult not show up in court in his cheap suits.

The type of cases Maze handles are generally conceded by most attorneys however Maze fights to bitter end and his success rate is phenominal considering what he is usually up against. His tenacity is far beyond the "5" rating above.
