My son was giving a conflict attorney, which was Mr. Powell. The first thing he said to me was "my son was upgraded from a PD" I felt very positive. But soon after,I felt that he acted like a high school kid in the court room. He never took my sons case serious, He worked better for the prosecution then us. He never went o see my son to discuss his very serious charge. He was a body filling in the sit!! I was very grateful for getting a attorney to help us, but I would gladly choose a Public defender any day over Powell!! I wish I had better things to say, but he really was bad at being a caring humane being and a professional. He's just a high priced lawyer. He showed me that he only works hard for $$, Or for dateline. If you have Powell as your loved ones lawyer. tell them to fire him or go pro-per.

Attorney Powell represented our son for almost three years. During that time not once did he visit or speak to my son in jail. He know nothing about our son except for reading police reports and through media. Powell had a reputation of not being present at many of the hearings. At first he gave the family hopes that he was ready to defend, but when it came to closing arguments what a disappointment. He seemed scattered, not focused, and lost his place on his notes. This should have been powerful and important to present to the jury. He then did not make himself available after the day of the verdicts to answer our questions. We do not recommend him.

Attorney Ron Powell is very rude. He will not talk to you and when he does he is very sarcastic. He has a habit of not showing up on important court dates and will get upset if you question him. I don't recommend that anyone who wants a lawyer to fight for them to use him. He basically scared my 17 year old son into a plea deal and when he wanted to withdraw his plea, Mr. Powell began using profane language toward him, how unethical! My son was given NO paperwork at all and now we are trying to obtain those papers for an appeal. We can never get in touch with him, he is always out of the office and never returns your calls.

This laywer will not talk to you. We had to go to court on our own with a public defender because we could not get intouch with him. we had not signed a contract with him which now I know is very foolish, he took our five thousand and will I don't know what we got for it. we passed up a deal with the DA because he wasn't clear with us. Think we made the wrong choice but he wasn't clear with us. He yells at us. Now we are going to trial and he says he doesn't want to be our lawyer anymore.he says he can't get along with me. I asked to many questions and he just won't talk. So now I don't know what to do. I feel I made the wrong choice in lawyers. So I'm out looking for another.
