Brian represented my grandchildren as guardian at lidem in 2003, perfect outcome of that nasty marriage. He also represented my Daughter again, several years later & was happy with those results. Now years later we need his assistance again, during the Covid Pandemic, his office was closed, but he returned my email 1 or 2 days later. Prior to that, his Assistant, phoned me, to a response to my fax I sent, as the Office was closed due to Covid. Today we played telephone tag, me having a Doctors appt, he kept on calling my house until he got ahold of me. All I can say is BRIAN is the BEST! He cares for his clients, honest & hardworking Attorney. Client Gloria M.

HORRIBLE LAWYER-THE WORST!! I thought other bad reviews were just exaggerations and boy was I wrong. Brian is a terrible lawyer; never communicates, never calls back, you have to chase him for weeks to do anything, won't return calls, disappears out of town for weeks, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!! He tore my family apart.

Do NOT EVER HIRE THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A LAWYER!! I hired Brian to represent me during my divorce & gut-wrenching custody battle that my ex persued after he got arrested for domestic violence against myself & my children. Brian has no knowledge of the family court law & what could have been something that got sorted out & semi-civil, turned into a nasty custody battle after my violent ex took emergency custody of my children from me! Brian failed to file necessary motions, constantly asked for continuations that were UNNECESSARY, & voluntarily shared private medical information with opposing counsel. Such a disgrace & disappointment!! I spent EVERY LAST PENNY I HAD & then had to hire another atty to clean up his mess. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & RUN FROM THIS MAN!! He also was recently arrested on multiple drug and vehicular charges. He has too much going on in his own life to give a damn about yours! I will spend the rest of my life paying off legal debts because of this monster.

Brian is an excellent attorney. Knowledgeable, understanding and thorough. I have nothing bad to say about Attorney Desautels, and while I hope to not need his services in the future, he would be my first call if I should.

He represented me in my divorce. I requested the financial statements again and again but never received it. He later lied that I received them but had no proof. His recordkeeping was very poor, his manners toward me, very bad: One day, I had an appointment with him and while he was meeting with me, someone showed up. He left me to meet with her. He went back and forth between the two of us then left me alone to wait in the room for an hour. I was going thru a divorce so I was not thinking straight. I did not want him to make my husband pay the bill since I had already paid him. On the day of the hearing, he had my husband pay his bill anyway. I was too distraught to fight him. After it was over, I filed formal complaints about him and he lied again and again. He is very dishonest. If you hear his name, run!

i used brian for my divorce and have used him since then to write my will and help other members of my family but he did not charge nearly as much as other lawyers had quoted. i had not seen him in almost three years and bumped into him at a funeral. not only did he remember me and ask me how i was, he remembered mybdaughters name and asked about my parents and my aunt who he helped. i read the other post from 2007 on this sight and had ttto say something. i googled him to find his address again to send a christmas card and found this old post from 2007. i have to say that everyone has their opinion so i am not faulting anybody, but he did a great job for me. i hope i don't need him again but if i need a lawyer again i would call him again. no doubt

I retained him as my lawyer in what was supposed to be a "simple divorce" he told me papers were filed for child support and come to find out he never filed anything despite my persistance and him telling me "I will file again" and claiming he did...he never filed once. It has been over 2 and a half years and I am still not divorced. He had excuses for everything....friend died....went on vacation....blah blah. When I filed for custody for my daughter myself he decided to withdraw from the case claiming "lack of communication"...funny thing is I have email after email saved in which he "apoligizes" for not getting back to me....he would go weeks without answering my emails or calls. Stay far away unless you have 2500$ to flush down the toilet and are willing to deal with years of mental anguish!
