9/15/19   1     1     1     1     1   Paul walsh was once my lawyer years ago and Brian Joseph Hilton's too. Paul walsh abused his position by acting as a inquisitor when I had been at his office, trying to put it on me Brian's suicide, even when I had a severe degenerative neurological degenerative disorder undiagnosed than. The day before Brain's suicide, I could hear agony in his voice and did all I could to try to save his life, even than considering my condition, I tried calling his friends and family, but nobody would listen. Than Brian took his life the next day, the greatest stigma of all and they all took it out on me. Paul walsh abused his position, acting as a inquisitor trying to put it on me, he deserves to be no lawyer and especially Queens Counsel. And after all this occurence, placed many lawyers against me. Click to report rating    12/15/16   1     1     1     1     1   This little man will only take your case on if he thinks its a Home run.He rushes everything and treats u like your a nothing. He basically looked at me and said I didn't stand a chance. I wanted to call him and thank him for his honesty because a few months later I won my case with another lawyer. RID: 178021
Click to report rating    2/22/15   3     2     2     1     1   Initially he explained "The shock factor" of my wife leaving with the kids and filing for Divorce and a protection Order and how to avoid that trap. But months went by with nothing being done and then my ex changed lawyers and suddenly he tried to force me to sign a separation agreement that favored my ex heavily When I already had the strongest document ( as per all legal literature) and threatened to quit if I didn't sign the new one... Fired him I did... Wasted Months and charged for all these useless letters. Check the Law Society Discipline records... "The record speaks for itself". RID: 150790

Click to report rating    11/8/12   3     1     2     1     1   Mr. Walsh is a verbose advocate. However, his communication skills with those with IQs lower than his are extremely poor. Goes by the form chart, not very creative. Looks for lay-down cases that can yield big dollars! RID: 94650
Click to report rating    10/1/12   1     1     1     1     1   VERY SLOW AND VERY SELF ABSORBED. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAWYER TO ANYONE. JUST A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. RID: 92391
Click to report rating    4/19/12   2     1     3     3     2   Need to chase him to get call-backs. Very impatient. Big ego (that could be good OR bad) Out for himself only. RID: 68143
Click to report rating    1/22/12   2     3     3     3     4   Paul is a very charming fellow on meeting him. He gets the job done if you stay on top of him all the way. Paul took over the handling of a simple adoption; from an associate in his own law firm. The case became stagnant and had to resubmit everything due to the negligence of the other lawyer. Paul was very apologetic and eventually got the case finished. It took about 3 years and should have taken a few months. Would I recommend him? Yes, because now he has the experience and expertise to handle a simple adoption. Would I recommend him on any other matter? Probably not as he just seems to fly by the seat of his pants and misrepresents himself and his firm. He is very friendly and did not charge me too much or rather more than we had agreed on, however, the case should have been finished within a few months not years. A very kind man with a lot of compassion though and can perhaps advise on simple uncontested matters. RID: 62393
Click to report rating    11/12/11   5     3     5     5     5   Paul is a very knowledgeable, busy man who does great work. There is no one I would trust more with my legal matters. RID: 55030
Click to report rating    5/29/10   5     4     5     5     5   Paul has helped me with two very serious criminal charges he got both charges dropped and neither went to trial. He also helped my wife and I get our daughter out of care and did not charge us his usual fee because he wanted to help us out, I found Paul to becompassionate blunt to the point and sometimes frustrating but he got the job done. I was very satisfied with his services and consider him to be a very good lawyer despite the problems he has had in the past.I would not hesistate to reccomend him and his firm. His secreatary is awesome and extreamly helpful when its hard to get a hold of him.The man is extreamly busy so does that not tell you something. RID: 30782
Click to report rating    12/18/09   1     1     1     1     1   It does not get worse! 13 convictions/admissions of guilt. See Appeal Court of Manitoba. Decision: December 6, 2006 Paul Victor Walsh v. The Law Society of Manitoba. The Court concluded: "7 Strong language aside, it is clear that the panel concluded the appellant’s prior discipline record was so extensive that the principles of specific and general deterrence, denunciation and protection of the public required both a suspension and a heavy fine. The appellant has been the subject of formal discipline proceedings on no less than nine prior occasions, with a record that is comprised of two formal cautions and 13 findings or admissions of guilt for professional misconduct. He has already been fined a total of $23,000 and ordered to pay costs of $20,500. As counsel for the Law Society said, “The panel concluded that the appellant’s record speaks for itself.” RID: 25376
