2/27/13   1     5     1     1     1   WARNING. WARNING WARNING Be very wary of this lawyer who will betray his own client at the drop of a hat. He seems to be willing to use the full power and influence of his partners and their firm to exact his own agenda even if it violates any values, ethics or codes of conduct expected of a lawyer. If the dayton bar has referred you to this attorney and promised you a special initial consultation, it is advisable that you not disclise any details of your case for Patrick Flanagan or one of his partners or associates may just become opposing counsel. The firm seems to be sufficiently connected to ever be held accountable for such devastating conflicts of interest. RID: 103738
Click to report rating    9/3/09   3     1     1     1     1   We hired Mr. Flanagan to represent our son in a criminal case. He demanded his fee up front, and never gave us an agreement of service or contract. We immediately were dissatisfied due to poor communications and lack of activity. We later had a hearing with the Bar Association in Dayton. He stated that he bases his fee on "what the market will bear", and he charges what he thinks will be the highest possible for his time so he doesn't get in over his head and has to ask for more money. If it's a quick settlement, you don't get a refund. Three other attorneys quoted fees less than half of what he charged us. Yes, we interviewed three others after hiring him. RID: 21679
Click to report rating    9/20/07   1     1     1     1     1   This man is the rudest, nastiest, most hateful man I think I have ever talked to. He was representing my friend and was of no help. When I asked him a couple questions, he got right in my face and screamed at me treating me like I was some kind of an idiot! I would not recommend him to anyone. His client's sister was there with me and she was appalled! Two hours later, she said she was still in shock, and that I was more professional than he was. This man had the nastiest attitude of anyone I have ever talked to. I do technical support for attorneys all over the United States and I have never, ever spoken to any as unprofessional as he was. Again, I would never recommend him to anyone. RID: 5832
