I was referred to Gary L. Merkle by a friend who had a similar case as mine. I was involved in a 3 car accident. He was very professional, and honest. He was always available to answer my calls. I would recommend this lawyer.

I am so happy Gary helped me with my workers comp. Anytime I had questions he always made time to answer them. His office is also very nice. Highly recommend.

The lack of communication that came from this firm is absolutely reprehensible. I was left completely out of the loop of what was going on with my case. They are unresponsive to telephone calls. They provided unreliable or in some cases completely erroneous information on numerous occasions. I will never recommend them to anyone. It's hard enough to deal with the injury itself, not to mention the grave financial stress. I like to think my attorney is on my side and supporting me, rather than avoiding me. I would not want to put anyone else through this firm's nonsense after what I went through with them.

My opinion, did a very poor job! Ended up finding a new attorney after giving him many chances. Does not want to work very hard and his staff are sloppy and uninformed. Neither Gary nor his staff take the time to explain what they are doing or what is happening...until it is too late for you to make corrections. My opinion, they are incompetent.

I am suprised by the negative reviews. Yeah, sometimes it is hard to get ahold of Mr. Merkle, but from what I know of the Workers Comp game, these attorneys have to take on a ton of clients just to make money. The current system really sucks, but Mr. Merkle did what was needed on my case, and I had a good result on my case because of his hard work. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Wow...I am so surprised after reading these reviews. My experience so far has been the complete opposite. Although my case is not over, I am so pleased with the medical attention I have been receiving since hiring him as my attorney. I believe I would not be able to walk right now if it had not been for Mr. Merkle. Even if I lose my case, even if he should do everything else wrong (which I highly doubt will happen) I am most grateful that he promptly hooked me up with the best doctor and physical therapist for my injury. Mr. Merkle gets 5 stars from me.

I used Gary Merkle for a case back in 2006. Boy was I sorry I did that. He is very unprofessional, did not schedule meetings properly. Did not schedule Dr. Appointments properly either. When my case was finally ready to settle, he did not have the settlement paperwork right. I almost had to pay the state disability back for the money they payed me while the insurance company was withholding funds because he sent me to the wrong doctor. Had I not carefully read the settlement agreement, I would have been screwed. I was not happy with the settlement either. He told me take it or leave it. He was not going to do anyhting else. If I didn't like it, I could find another lawyer. Very professional firm don't you think? Anyway, I would not reccommend theis guy to my worst enemy! Please beware!

I regret not checking this "lawyer" out before I agreed to have him represent me. What a mistake! There is nothing I can say positive at all. His office sent me a email stating that it was very important that we have have a telephone meeting as he had information from "the other side". He never called as promised. Two days later called to reschedule, again, no meeting. When I emailed his office to reschedule the meeting, I was asked why I wanted to talk to him? He and his office completely forgot that THEY had info. for me! Never a phone call, no paper work in my doctors file, did not show up for appointments. Did not remember my name. I informed his office that I did not have a doctor to take care of me and called his office for help. Mr. Merkle stated I would have an appointment in one week. I did not hear from him or his office for 6 weeks. Completely forgot! Mr. Merkle has no real interest in my case, or my medical condition. He does nothing except to get the money.

This law firm has missed several mandatory settlement appointments. My workman’s comp nightmare is ongoing on since 2006 and they have not attempted to reach. I too feel like their competency is very bad like their rating. Gary has a paralegal and an attorney at it seems like they are picking up some bad habits from Gary Lee Merkle. For 3 of those years I have not been paid my W/C benefits and I too was forced to file bankruptcy. I still sit and wait for a call back after 2 years of calling. Carmen the Paralegal seems to not care just Like Mr. Merkle, but he is sadly mistaken if he thinks I am not going to report him. Now, what can I say about Lori (Lorena) she is the worst Attorney/paralegal “whatever she is suppose to be” she does not call back. She has someone else call or have someone else do her dirty work…. How do you expect people to even try to Trust you with their claim, if you can’t even finish what you promised to finish… THE WORST LAW FIRM EVER!!!!

This lawyer is terrible on how to communicate with clients, no respect at all. Moreover, their office is so stupid that they can't get a simple doctor's appointment right, not just once, or twice... They had scheduled me a doctor with wrong name, wrong time, and wrong location!! One date, I took a day off to go to a doctor's appointment referred by their office and the appointment was cancelled but I wasn't even notified!

This law firm has missed several mandatory settlement conferences -6- to be exact. My workmans comp nightmare is ongoing after six years with this firm. Four of those years I have not been paid my W/C benefits and have lost everything...to the point I was forced to file bankruptcy. I still sit waaiting for a call back after one month of messages.
