This lawyer does NOT communicate what she is doing or why. Our experience has been that she just sends her bills, stating in general legal terms what the $ is for. The average person seeking probate assistance doesn't understand these terms. I feel she has taken advantage of our family as we do not reside where our family death occurred and her lack of communication is unprofessional. While this process is involved and emotional, it seems she doesn't see the need to explain to the family what she's doing or what the itemized costs are. The most disturbing thing that occurred was when she suggested a check be signed by someone other than the account holder (who was out of town), because she waited until the last minute to inform the family about a filing deadline and she needed the check THEN. I feel that was very unprofessional and lacking in integrity. The client should not feel the burden of her lack of timeliness and non communication.
