Click to report rating    11/12/09   1     1     1     1     1   Retained Mr. Kilburn to get a post trial conviction dropped from my driving record last Jan.09. In May said it would be done in a couple of weeks-----here it is Mid Nov. and nothing has been done. Went to court house today to find out what was going on and he slipped out back door of court room to keep from facing me.so far I'm out 1000.00 and have had no results at all---very poor ethics. RID: 24200
Click to report rating    8/11/07   1     1     1     1     1   James Ricky Kilburn has had several complaints filed against him with the ethics commission which resulted in his losing the right to practice law for 30 days in October 2006. Mr. Kilburn does not regularly visit clients who are incarcerated. He has failed in the past to ensure that evidence against a client was turned over to him in a timely manner. During a very high profile trial, Kilburn failed to enter ANY evidence into record on behalf of his client and also did not cross examine any witnesses nor raise any objections although the prosecutor clearly stepped outside the boundaries of Indiana Law by not turning over the evidence as required and allowing a guilty plea without having the defendant state how he commited the crime. RID: 5371
