If you are looking for someone to truly fight for your case run the complete opposite way from this law office. I got a consultation with Tim Powers where he will tell you he has experience with what ever city you got arrested in. Will talk some big stuff about being able to get the best deal or even dismissal. What is going to happen is you will never speak or hear from Tim powers again you will get thrown to some other representative from the office. They are just going to tell you that all the evidence is against you and you are guilty and try to talk you into just taking a plea deal with things like “don’t you just want to get this over with” and “if you just take the deal you will end up paying less” the lack of concern you will receive is alarming and surprises me this place is even still in business. This office only cares about getting the max conviction for the county and prosecutors. You could with your eyes closed pick any other law office and receive better representation.

This office has delivered nothing, absolutely nothing. They have know since day one of my innocence and my intent to go to trial. They have dropped the ball multiple times and have even changed the price on me. My name is Nicholas, my cell is 682-206-5191. Call me and I'll tell ya u the whole story. DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY. HE IS LAZY, ANGRY AND RUDE. They will take your money and try to leave you with no representative in court. They've tried twice. It's Sep 4, 2019. I have an appointment with them at 230pm today. We will see how much more they will try to screw me over.

We saw Tim at the Consultation then never again. He took our money then when we couldn't reach him, his staff told us he was out of the country for more than a month. We were given to an associate name Grace who was terrible. She was rude and acted as if we have personally assaulted her. Don't waste your time nor your money sending him on a vacation as we did. We hired another attorney in Denton that cost a lot less and got a lot more results. Tim's office was looking at jail time we got one case dismissed and one case dismissed with restitution .Please beware and look elsewhere

I had a drug case for which 3 other attorneys in Denton said I would do jail time. Thank God I hired Tim Powers. He fought for me and my case was dismissed. Great staff and office. One of the smartest things I ever did.

A great attorney. My domestic violence case wen to trial last week and I was so glad I had Tim Powers beside me. The district attorney wouldn't budge with a plea offer that was reasonable, so I had no choice but to take the case to trial. I would have lost my job if I had been convicted. Tim Powers is a fantastic trial attorney. He made the county attorney look like a 3rd grade student and she never saw what was coming. He build a strong defense and convinced the jury there was no proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury agreed and although they were out for over two hours deliberating -- the verdict of "not guilty couldn't have been sweeter. Tim Powers is a hero in my eyes. His entire office was the best choice I could have made.

Tim Powers is an outstanding attorney. He is representing me in a drug delivery case in Denton County. He is most knowledgeable and extremely reliable. He has been dependable and trustworthy. Although I live out of state, Mr. Powers and his office have successfully kept me up to speed on the progress of my case. I started out being very impatient and wanted immediate closure. Tim told me that the better results take a long time and I needed to be patient. He was absolutely right. It took over 4 months to have the drugs tested by the state lab and once the results were known my attorney went in "battle mode." The results couldn't have been better. I was informed this week the case had been dismissed. I was facing up to 20 years in prison and couldn't be more relieved. He is the only one to have represent you if you get arrested in Denton County.

This is the used car salesman of Denton lawyers. Once you pay him you never see him again. He gets one of his underlings to handle you, and even they won't return your calls. Went to trial with no prep work or even being able to talk to my lawyer. Got a terrible deal. DO NOT USE THEM! Waste of money.

The best thing I could have done was select the Law Offices of Tim Powers for representation in my DWI felony case. I was potentially facing a serious prison sentence. There were a number of issues in my case but the most important was one I never noticed. Tim and I watched the video several times and he noted from a 2nd officer's video there was no legal reason that I should have been stopped. The case was recently dismissed and I have my life back. It was well worth the money. His office did a great job for me. It seemed to take forever, however, I guess the good results always do. They will always have my thanks.

he doesn't return phone calls, he doesn't really work for the client just the denton county offices, he did not file paper legal paper work for cases that he has worked on ,that would have been accredited to his clients,or dismissed from case ( time served,others) he is no good just good at his radio job and screwing people especially black young men over

One of the worst mistake I have made was picking Tim Powers to represent me in my case. The group is run by high-school and college kids who try best to answer calls and questions you might have for Tim or others at the group.Tim will give you a lot time during the first consultation and make you feel like he cares, but in reality all he cares about is you giving him the money, as he completely disappears after you handle him the check, and doesn't even answer your e-mail or calls. I would have been better off with an attorney who was 1/2 the price, as they pressured me to sign and agree whatever Denton County District Attorney offered. Most attorney's try to at least negotiate and represent you, however, Tim Powers does not. I was upset that they wouldn't give me the the time to see if the plea hearing offer could be negotiated, instead they just stated that the District Attorney's offer was the best that I will be able to get. Please do not make the same mistake that I have made.

At the initial consultation for my son, Mr. Powers was very impressive and made promises he didn't even explore, let alone act on. Mr. Powers is more a salesman for the "company". If you are a parent who is paying for your child's advocate BEWARE. He will not disclose any information about the case to you. I have never heard of this before. My son was attending school from 7 to 12:30 in the morning and working nights. He was tired, young, and vulnerable. He was charged with DWI and taken to jail after PASSING the road test. He was advised that tapes of him crying and having a panic attack at jail could convict him. I have never seen a drunk having a panic attack and I think if a kid cries because he knows he will lose his job and possibly his degree because he has been jailed isn't grounds for conviction on DWI. Too bad my husband and myself couldn't be there to advise him when he accepted this plea.
