I was referred to attorney pitnof from another attorney, as I needed a MA lawyer (I live in CT). Unfortunately, I can completely relate to the others as he has done nothing for me but cause my medical bills to go into collections. I was involved in an accident that I was deemed 0% liable by both the cops and the insurance companies (we all now how often that happens), and all I want is to be reimbursed for my out of pocket expenses! Unfortunately, attorney pitnof will not return my calls, his 1800 line has been disconnected and any email I send him gets bounced back. I am now 9 months out from the accident and 7 months out from any treatment, yet half of my bills were sent directly to him, so I don't even have record of them all. I am so frustrated and don't know what to do besides warn others. Do not hire attorney pitnof, unless you want to end up worse then where you started!

It seems I am having the same problem as others commenting on Attorney Pitnof's business practice. I my case, I send Pitnof payment for legal services. He cashed my check in March of 2009, and now, six months later, I have still not seen any evidence that Pitnof has or intends to perform the legal services I paid him for. I have called him and written him on several occassions and have recieved either excuses or no rely at all. The service I have asked Pitnof to perform is a very simple matter. Please know too, I am also an attorney licensed in Massachusetts, thus ashamed as well as monetarily harm by Pitnofs conduct.

Mr. Pitnoff started a case for me in 1988. This was an out of state case in PA. He made verbal agreements over the phone to the other attorney, which doesn't count in PA. Mr. Pitnoff was suppose to show up in court and didn't. So my case was thrown out. Also the insurance companies wanted to settle but he never asked me about this. Mr. Pitnoff sent the money back. In other words I never received a dime for my mounting medical problems and bills. To this day I'm still left with pain and all of the medical bills that continues with it. It's pretty bad when I called the bar association to get a GOOD lawyer and they gave me Mr. Pitnoff's name. Then later I found out he didn't have malpractice insurance. There's much more to this whole story that's still going on for all these years. Thank you bar association and thank you Mr. Pitnoff for making my life a pure misery. That's why the rating is a 1, if I could give a negitive I would.

Took on a personal injury case for me 7 years ago. No resolution, no communication unless I contact him, no progress whatsoever.
