Zahour is an angry and awful, highly unprofessional and rude lawyer.Do not waste your money on Alonzo. He's "friends" with all the judges, yet when you go to court he doesn't even speak up for you and tells you to "speak your mind." I had to fire Alonzo after a year of getting no where and within one month of hiring someone new, my case was closed! This guy is a time waster, unprofessional - which his staff also reflects, and is a scam artist. I'm sure he solves cases fine, but depends how much your willing to pay him and go for as long as he wants to get paid for.Just awful, on top of not keeping you updated on your case and sounding generally annoyed every time you call to get an update he will do nothing for you. Sure he'll give you plenty of honey laced words about how good of a case you have. I will never recommend him to anyone

This man is a terrible attorney. He ill advises you and does not disclose all information pertinent to your case. Extremely lazy and has lied to me on several occasions. You are better off on your own before hiring this man!

I didn't know his reviews until I just read them. Every word is true about this lawyer.incompotent, always rushing you off the phone, shows up to court late, even missed a court date. He damage my credibility real bad.i thought he was a good lawyer until my personal experience. He'll say he'll do 1 thing & wouldn't. He'll lie & say he's on your side. He didn't do shhh..i had to do everything. He's a joke. if you hire him you should sue him for defamation to you & your family. Thanks for nothing.

Terrible Lawyer, Very Lazy, never returns calls, or email, and lacks communication. I would send him emails, with No response other than his assistant was out with an illness and they were busy, Not my fault! I had sent him the same email once a week for a month No response. He got aggravated with what I was asking for in my case, working against me. He ended up dropping me as a client cause I didn't pay him, He got a retainer and $ 100.00 of my money and that is all he is getting. on top of it when he sends me the bill its not even correct. He is very unprofessional and all over the place, sloppy. court was always a joke! needless to say I hired another attorney who got the job done in a few months apposed to Alonzo's 1 year of doing absolutely nothing.

Worse attorney I ever encountered, live in Pa. asked for a hearing on end of week thurs/fri and before bad weather started. Hearing set Dec 2, on tues. I send pictures and copies if checks etc for this man to bring to court for grandparents visits etc. When we showed him pictures he said too late and walked out of office this was sent to him almost 2 yrs before, and an email sent from my granddaughter, he said too late?? he had it and among other things never brought anything up, I lost case, not to say I may have lost any way but he didn't even try!! also showed up 15 minutes before hearing and spoke to us but for a few minutes, looks like this was fixed before i came all the way from Pennsylbania, then he took the case upon agreement $900. then sends bills for over and above this amount. This man found money easy. He should not be practicing law!!!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!!! He is overworked, yet lazy (in a strange way). I had TONS of documented evidence, including a video and I had witnesses present as well. This guy didn't call a single witness forward or present a single piece of evidence even though the opponent presented much that was on the same subject. Like other's have said, he DOES rush you off the phone. He will also rush you out your meetings with him. I have sent him countless files via e-mail that he apparently doesn't check. He will say that he knows all these judges and so forth but I no longer believe that he does (in the matter that he speaks). Steer clear!! You will very likely waste your money!!

I have used on on many issues. I have found him to be helpful and knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I find that his fees are resonable. He is very down to earth and I have had great success with him. The office staff is great about squeezing me in when I urgently need to dpeak to him. I have referred him to friends.

You get what you pay for. Horrible act communicating, always rushed me off the phone whenever I had questions, failed to guid me early on and had the nerve to withdraw from my case near the end of my divorce. I had to start all over. It was an emotional rollcoaster for sure and he made it even more emotional. I do not recommend this attorney, put your money to better use.

Alonzo is an honest, straight up lawyer. He has been nothing but great as my attorney. I will recommend him to everybody who needs a great, no b.s., on time guy who knows his stuff.

Honest about costs, which were very reasonable and knows family law. Is not aggressive, but also does not run up bill or burn up retainer needlessly like opposing lawyers. I think his support staff needs help because he is so popular. I did have to do much follow up on my own. When I found a mistake he made on PIN for Real Estate Closing document, he did NOT charge me for the follow up to clear the issue with the county tax collector.

He sucks! I gave him a courtesy call a week before the court date that we didn't want him to go because he wasnt doing anything for us that we couldn't do. He said that he is real good friends with all the judges and when we called him to cancel he said "thanks for wasting my damn time!" and hung up. Very unprofessional. Thank god we didn't pay his ass!

I had doubts about him due to the reviews on here, but I had to realize they are probably from people that had no chance in winning their cases or were no totally honest with their lawyer. Mr Zahour is an amazing atty and comes highly recommend from a good family friend that practices law in another county. He is smart and knows the law. I have never had a problem getting calls returned or him showing up for court late. He has always treated me with respect and like he truly cares for my case. He never promised we would win and said he does not like to do that. I would recommend him to anyone fighting for custody/child support! He does seem to have a busy law firm and to me that means he is a pretty good lawyer.

I used him on a custody case years ago that still affects me and my children to this day. He really let the other skeevy attorney take charge. If I had know then what I know now I would have never used him.

Alonzo was a complete embarrassment! He was always late and the judge took her anger out on my son! When he did show up, he looked like he slept in his suit and just crawled out of bed. Looking back, he knew exactly how the case would end because of my son's ignorance to the law as he's never been in any kind of trouble, yet he still milked the whole experience and took our money. Please don't ever hire him, he's all about the money and it is the first thing he talks about!

This is the absolute WORST lawyer I've ever seen. Never made a single objection to ANYTHING the other lawyer said. I was accused of the most outlandish things and he just stood there, not saying a word. He also told me he could get a favorable judgment because he was a personal friend of the judge, something I later found out is illegal. This is the perfect guy to hire if you want to spend thousands for a guaranteed loss.

I had Alonzo Zahour for my attorney. My ex husband had to pay my fees and the attorney helped him instead of me. He has too many cases and did not dedicate any time to me. I ended with nothing.

Rushed through the case, he has too many clients. Cost me thousands. Wouldn't take the time to go down one flight of stairs to file a simple motion. Doesn't answer phone calls. Wish I would have looked here first, but he was recommended by my company.

I HAD MR ZAHOUR AS A LAWYER FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS EVERYTHING WAS FINE FOFR THE 1ST 3 MONTHS UNTIL I MISSED 1 OF MY COURT DATES DUE TO MISCOMMUNICATION! I WENT TO COURT AFTER MY MISSED COURT DATE AND WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY UNTIL MY LAWYER COULD ARRIVE I WAITED AND WAITED AND HE NEVER SHOWED UP SO I GOT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND SPENT 2 AND A HALF DAYS IN DUPAGE COUNTY JAIL WHEN I FINALLY GOT IN TOUCH WITH MR ZAHOUR HE TELLS ME THAT HE WAS ANOTHER CASE IN OTTAWA AND HE CANT SHOW UP TO MINE AND THAT HE ADVISES ME TO ASK THE JUDGE FOR A PUBLIC DEFENDER!! I WAS SHOCKED AND ANGRY THAT MY SO CALL LAWYER NOT ONLY LEFT ME HANGING 1 TIME BUT FOR THE SECOND TIME I WOULDNT RECOMMEND HIM TO MY WORST ENEMY!!

You get what you pay for with this lawyer, he is cheap, has too many cases, constantly late for court, because he has so many cases he will look to quickly dispose of your case whether its to your best interest or not

I've used Alonzo for several different cases, 2 personal and one juvenile. His knowledge was dead on and unlike most lawyers he did not promise me the sky to get my business but was blatantly honest. In one case I chose a much more expensive lawyer who talk a big game, was well-known and told me everything I wanted to hear, I'll regret that decision for the rest of my life. If I would have stuck with Alonzo I would have saved myself $10k and 3 months of jail time.

Can't return phone calls. Doesn't keep client informed. Late to court and throws cases because he can't get his chickens in a row. Terrible person and a terrible lawyer.

I found that Alonzo by far was excellent in returning phone calls. I compare this based upon my experience with other lawyers. He has delivered as promised and responded to my concerns in a reasonable amount of time. Clients must realize that many times an lawyers hands are tied by the court system and because of this your case may not get resolved as quickly as we may like. I have referred several of my friends to him and feel confident in Alonzo to continue to do so.

He was rude, sent someone in his place for my court date, and was completely unwilling to answer any questions post-case. I would definately NOT recommend him!!

I have used Alonzo for several different types of services, each time he is helpful and patient. His explanations are clear and rational, he is very intelligent in every aspect of communication I have had with him. The only complaint I have is that he probably should hire more people and move into a larger office to accomodate the amount of workload he takes on.
