Unbelievable! There are lots of Lawyer jokes, and some of them very good ones. All, of course, at the expense of the lawyer. Most of them are all about the uncaring and unemotional nature of lawyers in general. There are a lot of us that have had issues and dealings with layers, and have come away with different results. Unfortunately, because of our experience and the jokes and negative media attention these professionals receive we develop our own opinion of what lawyers are like. And sometimes, as with me, those opinions are not so good. So, you can imagine my surprise after asking a simple question regarding child custody on an “on line free legal” website I received a personal response from Arlene Kock. Right away I encountered a very heart felt compassionate experienced person. She took time out of her day to pick up the phone, call me personally and offer me advice and caring support. Yes, I did receive other responses to my question and none took the time to call me personally.

Ms Kock is the BEST! Plain and simple. Her staff was awesome ensuring I was in the loop at all times since I was an out of state Father and the work of the etam was of great quaility. More important Ms. Kock is a caring person and satyed with me the entire time of teh ordeal. She made sure my son had all the right tools and always showed me what would be right for my son. He came first and I trusted her with my son. That is the best thing I could say. She is my family now and at times when I need advice she has never left my side nor has her team. She is just a wonderful person and an honest person. One other thing that came to mind even when she was on vacation she knew I was worried about some things and she made a call to me on my cell. How many attorneys' do that? Not many. She is the BEST!

Please do not use this lawyer. She handled my adoption 28 years ago and when i tried to get my d.l i realized i had no birth certifacate. So when i contacted her to get it she had informed me that the adoption was never finalized. She should have cought that error years ago. Now i lost my company and all my contracts because of a human error on her part that should have been taken care of years ago. I warn you do not use this lady for anything.

Some years ago, Arlene was referred to me by my best friend that had her help with a tough divorce. I interviewed an number of attorneys before selecting her and her office. My case was particularly complicated and gained some notice in the news. While under fire from my ex and the other attorney, Arlene was always calm and confident. This attitude was noticed by my trial judge and it was obvious the judge really respected her manner and method of litigating my case. I rated her slightly lower on her tenacity only because I see blind tenacity as a negative. If you wish to fight for fighting sake, hire another lawyer happy to freely spend your money. Arlene always tried to find solutions and worked with my ex and the other attorney as best she could and once we had to go to trial that paid off in spades when I got attorney fees from the other side! An exceptional and compassionate attorney.

We've used Ms. Kock for a small business matter recently and an employment matter a few years ago. She was prompt and conscientious in both matters. I hired her in the employment matter even though the employer I worked for had already provided me with counsel. I did not believe the counsel was agressive enough. Ms. Kock did a fabulous job in the deposition of the other side and greatly assisted in winning the case. She was tenacious and sharp. I was very pleased to have paid for my own counsel.

This attorney represented me in a custody case involving my two children. During the entire 13 month process, I came to appreciate and value her services. OF COURSE this legal matter was emotionally draining...OF COURSE it was financially costly. Lets be honest, blaming the messingers like some of the crying negative flames posted here is just not right.Arlene is a loving and caring person who provides a great deal of personal attention to her clients. I was very surprised to read the negative comments about her. She and her staff ALWAYS returns phone calls!! Arlene is very CONSISTANT. She does the same wonderful things for all of her clients, so mature responsible clients basically say the same wonderful things about her! It’s very evident from reading the positive comments, that everyone loves and appreciates her. You will too! She is absolutely terrific!!

I have been Arlene's client for the last 5 years. All I can say is she is the best attorney I have ever used on my messy case. I read and laugh at the whining negative comments left by people who are most likely someone Arlene beat up badly in court! She is always dependable, hard working, a model attorney always trying to follow the concept of working together on a case with the other side first and foremost rather than fight for fighting sake. Because of her talents, my Kids are happy with my custody plan and I do not think I will have to go back to court again for a long time because Arlene got a great settlement we all can all live with. I have NO IDEA how she cab be so hot & cold with clients. All these 100% 5 star rating reviews DO NOT describe the attorney that took my $5000 & me nothing. POOR, POOR communication. No organization. Employees rude & snappy. Did nothing & when things were getting to a critical stage, I put the pressure on, she dumped my case stating health reasons & of course kept the $5000. So sick she can't continue, yet she is continuing to accept new clients with their $5000. I know it's hard to find a good attorney, but be VERY careful here. This is your life she is messing with.

Knowledge seems up to par however, she does not apply it to all of her clients apparently only the ones she feels she can buffalo. Took her 1 year to do anything for my case. That was because I had to threaten her with the California State Bar. Then all she did was play a game with me and let the other side come out ahead. No scruples no morals no shame.

All the while Arlene and I worked together on my case she left me with a sense of caring and security. Many issues were fought over with my spouse and I really thought I would never get what I did in dividing things the other attorney said only belonged to his client.We did have to go to a number of hearings and actually had a trial on the division of our house and timeshare but the outcome by the court was in my favor and I can only thank Arlene for her hard work in convincing the judge I had a right to any interest in the house.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU,. My future is safe because of her.

I wish there was a rating below zero, because she would get it! I have been looking for a site like this to warn people of Arlene. I think her real name is Arlene Crock! Please please do not waste your money on her. She talks a really good game, but she will do anything to get more money from you. She didn't know my case at all and was completely unprepared. I wasted $10k, because she kept promising the world. Please do not use her, your case will be worse off, I know mine was. I gave her a $5K retainer, and then $5K more, but my child support case was never even heard. Good luck to you all, just please don't go this route!
