This lawyer should pay you! I used him for part of my divorce, he did nothing but waste my time and take my $$. When he received correspondence from my ex he never told me, he never returned calls, he never reads his emails. They where holding $50,000 of my money from the sale of my house and she wanted it. We where only married 2 years hence she was not eligible to anything I owned before the mar-rage, he was more concerned about her lawyer getting some of my money than winning my case. i ended up having to get another lawyer to get this divorce settled.

I have only entered "1" on here because there was no "0". This guy signed off a 10 year agreement with my ex's lawyer without my knowledge or consent. I am so hooped unless I can get something overturned. Also I had over 20 emails to him during the process with no answer. He then told me he "doesn't do email". I found out about the Court Order he signed from my property lawyer. This guy should be disbarred. He is not fit to practice.

This is a travesty of justice that this man is allowed to practice family law. After reading the other remarks it is all true and then some. He TOOK 70,000.00 and then quit when it was ready to be over...going forward to the JDR would have exposed His incompetence, as He didn't even have the financials from My ex from 2 years previous... but was trying to bully Me into a settlement that was NOT good for Me.. He lost Me My rights to My Farm property by making a court date and then not showing up..or telling Me there was one.. then trying to hide what He'd done.. His sec. let the cat out of the bag. Now I have no lawyer..no money... and the other side is circling like hungry sharks in a feeding frenzy. DO NOT have any thing to do with this person... I only wish I knew I would be His last victim but I fear there are more. He has been doing this for years...right under the nose of the Law Society I guess. Oh did I mention...Im 60 yrs old.

Avoid this lawyer. VERY BAD!! He does not keep in contact with you and will leave you out to dry. He took my retainer then FIRED ME when I would call and try to find out what was happening. Worst lawyer ever. As I can see from the other comments lots of people have been ripped off by him.

If you want to spend ten times what it should cost and go to court multiple times for nothing, this is the lawyer for you. He writes like he's in grade 3 and has no idea about fairness. He fuels the fire between people instead of helping people get things done. I will never recommend anybody to this lawyer.

I read through all the reviews and there seems to be a very common thyme to the complaints. I experienced the very same problems as the other comments and more. Brian is arrogant to a point of not being able to even discuss the simplest of matters. For someone that has been in the business as long as he has he sure doesn't have the knowledge I'd expect. He filed an affidavit that was rejected by the opposing council and the judge for being to long. 6 Pages Brian!!! I'd expect any first year law student to know that. Watching him get bashed by the judge was another red flag to me. The man may have been good at one point in his career but that day has long passed. Don't waste your time and money on this clown. This guy is very unprofessional. His office filed paperwork that was a complete mess and it looked like it was done by a child. He and his staff really needs to learn how to use a computer, this is a modern world. Stay away from this guy!!!! Seriously!

Not the service I expected from the 'best' divorce lawyer in Red Deer as he proclaims to be. I was never informed of what was happening - I would have to phone, which wasn't a pleasant experience.For a hot-shot lawyer, he has bottom-of-the-barrel office help (can't call them receptionists because they're really not).They are rude on the phone, they're rude when you go in, tell you something has been sent when it hasn't and don't reply to emails or phone messages. I got legal documents with someone else's name and file number on them along with my cheque for over $50,000 that was sent REGULAR mail - no way of tracing it. Pretty shoddy. Not impressed with any of it - would NOT recommend this lawyer to anyone.

I am currently going through a divorce with my ex husband and he's using Brian Adair as an attorney. All I can say is BE AWARE OF THIS SHISTER LAWYER!! I'm a self represented litigant who's also a single mother. I've only dealt with him a couple of times so far and have busted him red handed about his lies!!!! He claims he emailed, called and left a voice message and also sent me a letter on dates for a questioning, but I never received anything to this point. He even told the judge yesterday that he had, but, today I went through my cell and email records and of course no records of any correspondence by him or his office. So, I will be putting in a complaint with the bar association as well as other places!! Be totally aware of this SHISTER if you're dealing with him on either side!! My suggestion is to question and check into everything he says or does!! You need to be on top of this lawyer in all aspects!!! Wish me luck! I'm glad I found out in the beginning rather than in the end!

I had Brian do up a will for my husband and myself. He's also done the work for some real estate stuff for us. He's always been upfront with what's involved and has always been efficient and accurate. We shopped around before settling on Brian but decided to go with him because he had the best prices. If you don't believe me, seriously shop around. Would definitely recommend him.

I, like many of these other stories are much the same. I am going through a divorce and it has been since January 2010. We sat with my ex wife for 15 minute when it all began. That unfortunately didnt work. Since then the only thing that needed to be done was keep me and my children in the home that we were living in. I had kidney disease and was on dyalisis so I had insurance on the mortgage. If not I only had $1100 to luve on. He never tried to get child support, never had to go to court once. My ex filed bankruptcy and the trustee told me nothing could happen for 21 months. Brian took advantage of this and in my distress racked up bills that were not necessary. Now finally four years later he has lost money that I had given him and came up with a $23960.00 it is criminal. If anyone is reading this do not hire Brian Adair to do anything for you, if yoy habe experienced this criminal come forward and report it to the Red Deer court house, have your bill reassessed.call the law society

Brian A Adair tried to rip me off. He "accidentally" charged me exactly double the legal fees for my Purchase of a house documents. He told me he assured that nothing was wrong with the bill. With the assistance of my realtor and his lawyer we were able to make brian admit to his "mistake" and he had no choice but to refund the "accidental" double charge he charged me with. What kind of lawyer misses something as much as a overcharge of $1500??? Also his receptionist named sonya is among the rudest and most ignorant human beings i have ever spoken to. Avoid this law office and these people as they WILL try to scam you as they did to me and many others

Had Brian for a lawyer 7 yrs ago.There was an existing court order in place that gave me every weekend access.My ex was not letting me see our son which is why i retained him. He cost me 7000$ and accomplished absolutly nothing. He kept saying just wait just wait shes hanging herself but after a year of him taking a pile of money and not seeing the child once i was forced put on hold. Bryan would babble unrealevent stories in order to confuse and make me think he was on to something big. Never got a chance to see our son for three years after that while I had a court order that said every weekend access , he is by far the worst Lawyer I have ever met or heard of , he should be reported to the law society. If karma is real this man has a huge debt. I now have custody of our son. STAY AWAY FROM BRIAN ADAIR.

Brian has been working on my behalf, if thats what you want to call it. Absolutly a waste of money and time. He has done nothing on his own. I have had to come up with all the ideas and he takes those ideas twists his words all around and then claims them as his own. of course he charges me full rate for this. He does not return his calls. I am not sure if he has enough knowledge to be considered a lawyer. I would run away from this so called lawyer. He will take your money, have you sign things you shouldnt sign, has no records to support his invoices and will straight out lie to you.

Many lawyers receive bad reviews because their ex-clients are morons and upset because they didn’t have realistic expectations their lawyer could meet. This is not the case with Brian Adair. He is a shyster and a huckster who is not to be trusted. He will take your money. He won’t represent you adequately. He will dodge your calls. He won’t protect you from the legal system or your ex-spouses attorney. He will send you outrageous bills for work he didn’t do. He won’t do a bit of work more than he has to. In hind sight I would have been better off with no lawyer at all. I would never ever recommend him to anyone, except my former spouse who now has sole custody and receives twice the child support than is outlined by the federal government. Do not under any circumstances let him represent you or you will be very sorry. Trust me.

i would never, ever recommend this so-called lawyer to any woman client who is going through divorce. He is only after the money. tells you what you want to hear, not what i want and i am paying for his lousy services. he did not prepare me for court properly at all. when i asked for an appeal, as i did not have any more support or money to live, he said,"No appeal". i paid him in full, but i know that i was ripped off royally. i took him to taxation, where he still did not show the proper receipts, hours, paperwork. he asked me what i was going to do with the money that i receive from my settlement a few times. that is none of his business. no way i would ever recommend him to anyone, ever.

Brian Adair is in it for the money. He went to court on my behalf. He wrote up an access order to my son saying 1 day a month access to my 2 year old son. I reminded him that the judge said 2 days a month access. He said how would you know, you were not there. I said yes I was and showed him a copy of the transcript. He said, give me another $3500 and I will get you the 2 days a month access. What a Jerk. He does not care about his clients, just there money. Please read my website. www.afathersstory.ca.
