Uncaring, non communicative, poor even for a court appointed lawyer. He embarrassed me in court and worked against me. I believe the poor reviews 100 % because I dealt with him. It's better to bite the bullet and hire someone who will fight for you.

Less communicative ..but more productive. .highly skilled lawyer..I am really impressed by the quality of service.he provided to me.I almost lost the hope about my case..but..he finally got me out of trouble aND finally ...I still don't believe that ....my case is dismissed ..

Matt and his staff treated me worked hard to make sure I knew what to expect and how the case would work. He answered my questions, fought with the ridiculous prosecutor handling the case. I could tell he really wanted to help me out of this awful situation.

Never heard from him. He was always the last one in court. The only benefit about him was that he offered a payment plan. He yelled at me when I tried probing him for answers. At one point he even cussed, he apologized after but at the moment I knew he didn't care about my case.

Mr. Horak, helped me on a case that was pinned against me for no reason. I was pinned with a "Prostitution" charge. I feared that I may be doing some time for something that I did not do. I am 22 and ambitious. The government needs money and more guys locked up. I talked with many lawyers and Mr. Horak listened, gracefully. He pointed out many flaws during my consultation with him. I hired him and it was HISTORY! The cops/government could not find a piece of evidence to convict me. Mr. Horak got the case dismissed. I truly appreciate this man. Thanks Mr. Horak! -AW

Matt Horak is a attorney that knows what he is doing. I've these other reviews and sounds to me that these other former client were probably the needy I need to talk to you every minute of everyday type. You get in trouble call matt and I'll tell you one thing he is a saint. He's the truest advertised attorney I know of. Yes does he not return your calls or emails right that second of course he's in court not at home surfing the internet. I speak from experience and I have never been so impressed with an attorney. Thank you matt I got your back man. Rk

Hired him based on what he said he could do and he completey did another. Gave me the run around, leaving me with bad results as far as my case, my biggest mistake was paying him all the money upfront, because afterwards his efforts turned to trash. He is very sarcastic, and unprofessional. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT YOUR PAYING FOR.

I dont see how any of these reviews are "real".
From the experience I had with Matt, it seems like the reviews on here are fake, and promotional ones that he has done.
Anyway, on to the review. We set up a payment plan, before the hearing I tried to call, left messages, went by his office he was never there and never called me back. This guy would not call me back, until I said I would bring him money, then he called back immediately.
I would not pay him to be my lawyer again, I would not let him do it for free. I I could have done better representing myself, or from a public defender.

Doesn't return calls, impersonal, uncaring, takes things personally rather than use it to his advantage. Holds grudges. If he judges you bad when you're not, you are not in his favor to represent you as he should. Cocky. Wants to be in charge and disregards what you want to pursue.
