In my opinion, he Failed to try my case on the day of the trial and coerced me into signing many documents over 8 years. He failed to return calls, respond to important emails, and did not contact my witness to appear on day of the trial but said he did. He refused to go into the courtroom and represent me. He also, in my opinion, is responsible for elder abuse by refusing to try my case. There are many times,in my opinion,he created unnecessary costs in my case. No one should be treated the way I was. I was called names and left his office in tears. No one deserves to go through what I did.

When I came to Pat and Jon, my former attorney had made serious mistakes on my case. Pat know the law and uses it very effectively to fight for you. He doesn't back down. The judges respond well to him. Jon is the genius writer behind all of the documents that are created in a case. He presents your case very strongly through his writing. They are both on your side and never try to manipulate you into decisions you are not comfortable with. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. They are the best and if you're in a position where you could lose time with your kids or lose out on a good settlement, then you must consider Pat and Jon as an investment in securing the future of you and your kids.

Divorce is never easy,especially when the other party tries to weave a web of lies and plays dirty games.I am very thankful to Patrick for handling the case the way he did. I’m thankful that I had Patrick and Jon on my side. They are very knowledgeable and get favorable results. I’m ecstatic with the outcome of my divorce. I never imagined divorcing would be such a convoluted process. This was a very complicated high conflict divorce, so it did take a long time. We pretty much faced everything opposing counsel threw at us head on. Fortunately for me Pat, Jon, Jessica and Rose guided me through the rocky storm. Pat is extremely prepared and shines during trial. Jon and I had multiple conversations to prepare for court. Every time I read documents Jon prepared I was mesmerized. About 7 years ago, I was faced with the decision of a divorce. As a physician married to another physician and the potential for a "complicated" divorce, I asked a colleague/friend for a referral for the "best" OC attorney. I feel so blessed that I was referred to Pat McCall. In my opinion, he and his associate, Jon Kaiho, truly are the best! They are knowledgable, tenacious, compassionate and hardworking. They maneuvered through multiple attorneys, established protective orders, fought for my children's best interests and skillfully got me through a tortuous process that lasted 3 years and then an additional year, when I had to go back for failed child support. For nearly all my life, I never even considered divorce an option. When it became inevitable, my world was turned upside down. When our sons were young and my (now ex) wife was dead set against sitters, I sacrificed an IT career to be a stay-at-home dad. To complicate matters, my ex unfairly filed a restraining order against me during the proceedings. Pat and Jon's tenacity and expertise resulted in the order being dropped in about a week's time. Our mother, who we care about dearly, is 83 years young. Unfortunately, we learned that one of our brothers was financially and emotionally abusing our mother, who had grown helpless with age. Divorce is an ugly process that I would not wish on my worst enemy. I saw sides of my ex that I never knew existed and many times, my knee jerk reaction was to respond in kind. Pat and Jon are the go-to guys in O.C. Literally pounced the opposing counsel on so many levels, it was actually embarrassing for the opposing counsel. The selection of attorneys can be one of the most important decision in this process. My ex chose a schmuck who filed numerous ex partes, appeals and two back-to-back move-away requests. Pat and Jon told me to relax and they took care of me. All of her requests were completely denied, while she wasted our money on her attorney fees. Pat kept my bill reasonable and I was able to realize more time with my child, more sanity in the process, while I watched my ex and her foolish, pompous, poser attorney waste everyone’s time. In my case, the judge got the law wrong and issued an Order that would have cost me unlimited years of alimony. McCall requested a special hearing and convinced the judge to change her own ruling, restoring the original divorce agreement and avoiding the time, expense, and uncertainty of an Appeal. Many of these other attorneys spend a lot of time and money engaging in antagonizing dirty tactics, when all that backfires in court anyways. Patrick is the best family law attorney in Orange/LA County! He is the "cream of the crop". I retained him about ten days before my custody and move away trial. The odds were stacked against me. The poorly done custody eval recommended that the kids be allowed to move away even though they were born and raised in SoCal. I was unhappy with my previous attorney. Patrick came highly recommended by two friends. I gave him my organized documents and he hit the ground running. He hired an excellent 733 expert to combat the custody eval. After three prior attorneys who promised the world to no avail, I was fortunate to locate the law offices of Patrick McCall. I met him at his office with all of my court paper work from prior judgements in hand. He then quickly reviewed all 60+ pages, smiled, and informed me that I still had a good case. With his expertise, he located a simple hand written seven word sentence in the aforementioned pages which opened up a brand new start in my case. Why did my three previous attorneys not catch this? I wouldn't hire him to walk my dog. Oh, wait I no longer have my dog, or house, or anything else because he sold me out to the other side. And, get this, I wasn't even married to my ex-GF, and the house was ONLY in my name. Pat missed court because he forgot he had my case. His associate had NO Idea what she was doing, I could have done better. He NEVER answered a single email. Only answered half the questions ever put to him. Sent mail addressed to me to my EX-GF. He was the worse I could have had.

I hired Patrick through a referral. At first, I had great confidence in his ability to get the job done. After the initial court date, I had to make all of the follow up calls and emails to him to get paperwork completed to move the divorce forward and primarily dealt with his assistant. "he will call you" I will get this message to him"....."we are very short staffed" I had a meeting with him to discuss the status of the case which cost me $650 and not one thing we discussed was implemented. In addition, he spent over 20 minutes calling his IT person about his website that was not working and had the adacity to charge me for it!. I didn't receive an invoice for 7 months and when I did, it showed that I owed him oan addition 7200 over the initial retainer fee of 7500. It has been almost a year and I still am not divorced. I finally decided after many calls to him that I did not want him to represent me anymore. I am fighting some of his outrageous charges as well.

If your case is outside of Orange County, think twice about hiring "Patrick McCall" because what you'd really get is his associate. It's hard to place value on your attorney who really doesn't do anything for your case. Might as well hire a more experienced lawyer who charges McCall's associate rate.

McCall is a big disappointment. As soon as he takes your retainer you're passed on to his staff. He is rarely in the office. He does not return calls. And during appointments you'd be lucky to get his undivided attention. He is busy looking at his blackberry or computer. Hearing? You'd be lucky if he read your file. As for rating of March 8, seriously? and without saying why? sounds like a client who is gaga over her attorney (who happens to be married).

Great litigator. If he is the opposing counsel know the law because he is well versed in it. He is usually in court but has a helpful staff. He has a great associate who is his right hand person. Mr. McCall is not going to babysit you, he will get you what want and for that matter, what you deserve. If you want someone in your corner who is tough and has the tenacity to get it done, then Patrick is your man! I've referred many to him and they all came out very satisfied. Its now my turn and even though the process can be time consuming its been well worth it.

Mr. McCall is a great attorney and litigator. Yes, he is usually in court advocating for his clients. But he gets the job done. If clients have a problem with their attorneys, sign a sub of atty form. That simple!!! Based on the previous entries, the writers have a problem paying for services rendered for them. There is nothing stopping people from looking for an attorney with a lower rate. Again, that simple!!!

Word in the Legal community is that he is a great lawyer but his office has a reputation for being slow and non responsive. Having logged almost 20 calls in 3 weeks regarding my case and STILL not having the answers I need, I would have to agree. Having my still active case sent to storage and a venue change that no one in his office has been able to understand or file correctly (even though I have already been charged the court filing fee) is also a problem. I think his forte' is arguing the case. Unfortunately, he relies on his less than adequate office staff to get it there and they fall woefully short. His paralegal is probably the best member of his "team". The rest seem like they could care less!
