I've had the pleasure of Lorrie's legal expertise on a few separate occasions, she does knows her business! I think what people fail to realize is the law is complicated! What clients think should be an easy, uncomplicated matter isn't always the case according to the judicial system. Lawyers don't make the laws, they take an oath to work with them. They work with clients that sometimes don't take, nor care for that fact. Lorrie got the job done with her knowledge and within the limits of the law. That was my intention when looking for a lawyer. Pricing...well, you get what you pay for!! I certainly got what I payed for, situation(s) closed and behind me. When hiring a lawyer you hire them for their expertise, knowledge, and valuable time, not for them to become your friend. Yes, at times lawyers will have to get harsh, tell hard truth(s)/facts, like it or not, they know the limits of the law, not you. I have and will again recommended Lorrie to persons in need of legal help.

Beware of this lawyer! Lorrie is heartless! She informed me of what her plan was for my case, but never delivered. Her plan of action was written on all the legal papers. While in court, she proceeded to tell me "I have no case." How shocked I was. She is a liar and overcharged me for a simple divorce case.

Lorrie Zahodnic is a HORRIBLE lawyer. She is there for the MONEY and only the money. She is rude, unprepared and made my divorce an even worse experience for me! She will overcharge you like crazy and keep asking for money.

I will be the 1st to admit that I am not the easiest person to work with and hold those that I do business with accountable at a very high standard.
I can't thank Lorrie enough for her hard work & for performing at such a high level before and during our initial hearing for custody of my daughter. Leaving the courthouse I was beyond impressed & appreciative!
Her passion, enthusiasm, professionalism & assertiveness during the presentation of our stance and rebuttal to the Defendant's objections was paramount. She kicked the other Attorney's ass and everyone in the courtroom knew it.
If you're looking to hire a badass Attorney that you can be confident in, then Lorrie Zahodnic is the obvious choice.

I do not go out of my way to review a service, however, after my experience with a different firm, I had no choice. You really do only get one chance to research an Attorney, once you sign that contract, you are stuck. It happened to me. Take my word for it when I tell you to look no further! You found a great Attorney right here and here's why: Lorrie and her assistant, Diane, are the most kind and patient people I've ever met! They truly were a God send! Aside from our business at hand, both Lorrie and Diane, spent a significant amt. of time with me, not only educating me about my rights, they also helped me on my self esteem! They helped open my eyes and they shared some of their own experiences on how not to be an enabler. I didn't even realize I was doing! They made me see that my children and I were deserving of what we were owed. They helped me keep my heart out of the divorce process and they worked with me. I was facing the Macomb County standard child parenting time schedule. Seeing my children only part-time was not an option for me. I changed attorneys & sought out Lorrie. She took my case late in the process & delivered, shared custody! Because of her tenacity, my children and I get to spend a whole lot more time together than if we were to go along with what the FOC was reccomending. FOC based their decision on a 2 hour chat in which they did not consider all the relevent factors. Lorrie objected to the FOC reccomendation and my children are in a much greater place emotionally because of the custody arrangement. Lorrie was level headed and kept me on the right path. Getting through a divorce is difficult enough, Lorrie made it come out with the kids best interest in mind, shared custody. We are still wrapping up some of the final details of the divorce, but all in all she is one hell of an attorney for a divorce, I definitely recommend her. You get what you pay for in attorneys.

I have never run into such an unprofessional person in my life. She is evasive, refused to answer questions, rude, acted not on my best interest and aided against me. After taking my money she was unavailable as on vacation and scream not to ask any questions with expectations of doing exactly what she said which was against my wishes. I am serious she needs a psychiatrist and the people close to me can vouch for that. My new lawyer convinced me and is the only reason I did not file a dispute. She took my money and ran then dragged everything siding against me in effort to guarantee her blown up bills. Other lawyers thought she was a joke and she proved. She should be disbarred. Dealing with her added so much hurt, anguish and stress knowing she was literally selling me out not providing assistance which is a lawyers duty by oath. She is selfish and ruthless with herself and money her goal.

Lorrie is more concerned with her pocketbook and taking vacations, than focusing on her cases. She repeatedly billed me for paperwork that had mistakes. She took a long time to respond to my questions. Her communication about what to expect and next steps was non-existent. She dragged out a very simple case, just to spend the retainer. It was so bad that, at one point, I demanded the electronic files and corrected her numerous errors in the documents, then filed them MYSELF. She was supposed to, per the retainer agreement, give me notice when retainer fees were getting low. Not only did she fail to do so, but she gave me a bill almost as big as the retainer after the case was over. When I called to question the bill, she threatened to "sue me" if I asked any more questions and told me to just pay the bill. Needless to say, she took a very simple case and created massive delays, lots of added stress and confusion -- just to add to her bill at the end. Terrible Attorney!

Lorrie is one of the worst attorneys I have ever worked with. She does not know the law, and she is not out for your child's best interest. She has made my divorce extremely costly and messy. She filed our custody case wrong costing us thousands of extra dollars. Lorrie is very unprofessional inside the courtroom. She is out for money and not results. I would never recommend Lorrie to anyone.

I hired Lorrie to help with a modification of support as I knew my ex was not truthful on his income, we won but the Judge did not think that I should be awarded attorney fees after we showed good cause. Lorrie appealed, and WE WON! Lorrie is the best!

She or her secretary, who are both very current are always available. Granted, she is not cheap, but my husband's attorney is, and it shows. Lorrie is great if you can afford her, and she will help you do that. I think the other commments here might be by another attorney who was probably taken to the cleaners by her quick wit and knowledge.

If you want an attorney who is fair, and who will fight for you, call Lorrie. She is absolutely wonderful!! Having her as my attorney was the best thing I could have done. I highly recommend her.

I have given her my blessing to use me as a reference. I will talk to anyone who has any doubts. She is brilliant and compassionate. Her background as a registered nurse and the fact that she always remains current in the law are addsd bonuses. Contact her and she will set you up with me. I trust her completely.
