I am indebted to Mtre Grassby for representing my ex! She cunningly advised her to pay 1 hour with 3 top Montreal lawyers to prevent me from hiring them. She flooded me with Duces Tecum requests for futile documents to keep me off balance. These included how many times I saved the cost of meals by traveling at the expense of my employer! She also demanded a professional valuation of my spinoff company that cost me $10,000 and tried to make the case in court that my company’s product was a team effort and hence could not be protected as my own IP. The judge immediately discounted these arguments one by one and destabilized her leading her to commit error after error: a witness not failing in counter interrogation but contradicting her during her own interrogation! and, at the split of stocks she advised her client to demand cash rather than Apple stock! Needless to say that Miriam Grassby’s bad advice essentially paid many fold for all my divorce expenses: thank you Miriam.

Grassby is one of the worst lawyer on the field, she cares about only one thing: how much she can bill. She purposely advises clients to wait until the last minute before settling but in the meantime she rakes in the fees. She will use every means possible to drags things in court and file motion after motion. If you want a settlement and peace going forward don't pick her.

I retained Mtre Grassby’s services for my divorce based on her reputation and from personal references. I appreciated her professionalism and her boundless devotion and availability.
Without Mtre. Grassby, I am convinced I would not have received a judgment that was fair.

I am a man. I have known Miriam Grassby for quite a while and have recommended her to women friends and relations in divorce situations. Each of them are very grateful for her assistance and have great respect for her knowledge , skills and talents. She is also well recognized in the legal community, to which I belong. There isn't enough space here for me to properly honor Mtre.Grassby! The negative remarks expressed by some , are examples of individuals lashing out as a result of their own poor choices!! Mtre. Grassby is an exceptional professional!! She is selfless, wise, honest and will guide and represent you with the upmost of virtues. Mtre. Grassby always starts a conversation with "How are the children", she is always concerned about their wellbeing. Mtre. Grassy has her heart in the right place!! Words cannot express my gratitude for her support during a difficult and emotional time in my life. Mtre. Grassy went well beyond the call of duty, more than anyone could ever expect from their attorney .My children and I will be forever grateful to her .

I have NEVER had such a difficult time to "speak" with Me.Grassby via her Assistant "SVETLANA ROMANOV"..For someone such as myself who was looking for an attorney, I got completely turned off by her unprofessionalism!!!

I would have given more money to my ex if she hadn't been represented by Miriam Grassby, but her tactics and outrageous demands made the case drag on and antagonized both parties. In the end, I saved a lot of money. My ex lost big.

Miriam Grassby is the best lawyer one can have. She handled my divorce case and I was impressed by her competence, knowledge, her ability to watch after her clients' benefits, and most importantly, her morals. Lawyers have bad reputation as to ripping money of people who are in unfortunate situations. I was very surprised and impressed by Miriam's concern for my money; our meetings were efficient and effective beyond my imagination so that I would not pay large sums of money. Only thing I say is this: thanks Miriam; I am glad that lawyers like you still exist. Fortunately or unfortunately, however, Miriam attracts many women clients, partly because of her modesty and her morals. And in most cases she defends these women so well that she also ends up with a group of highly vocal enemies. In my view, low ratings of her on this site and on the sites specifically designed to attack her are the best indication of the fact that she does hell of a good job in defending her clients.

i've been waiting 22 years to put in my two cents worth on the subject of miriam grassby. she was then, in name only, a tenant's rights lawyer. it was just before she switched to the more lucrative family and divorce pork barrel she now swills from. she did ZERO preparation for our day in court, was inappropriately attired, grandstanded with the court clerk, embarrassing me considerably, flirted with the opposing lawyer, and she finished by taking every single penny i had, though, compared with divorce settlements, it wouldn't look like much and, the coup de grace, got me to pay her cab fare back to her office. the result: i lost my apartment, my entire bank balance and all trust for the legal profession. she is the most coldhearted, grasping person i have ever met. i saw the wave of the future in her office as i left: a mother and daughter, both swathed in fur coats, harbingers of her new clientele. miriam grassby woke me up to an awareness that lawyers can be bottom-feeding scum.

It is very obvious that the other ratings are from disgruntled fathers on a negative publicity campaign. Ms Grassby is a very good lawyer who provides solid advice to her clients taking into consideration their specific situation and needs.

If you're a woman considering employing this woman you need to need to be aware her style and lack of morals & high stakes binkmanship will seriously antagonize and compromise your settlement and family's peace and harmony. Mte Grassby portrays herself as a woman's right's crusader while in reality she is glorafied extortionist who prays on family tragedy and manipulates and mis directs distraught women to destroy their husbands for self financial gain.

Grassby is a TOTAL ****. I am with Fathers-4-Justice and climed the Jacques Cartier bridge in Montreal in sep 2005 because my children were being abused by their mother. The police would intervene and take the kids away from her and the ****in judges would give them back. All was based on grassby's lies. She tried to have me accused in criminal court for everything under the sun. Grassby is VERY DANGEROUS and needs to be stopped.

Miriam Grassby is a shake down artist whose only objective is to extort as much money as possible from her clients's ex-husbands. Her favorite strategy is to use children as bargaining chips. I was forced to hire a lawyer for my children to extirpate them from her clutches. In the end, my ex-wife lost her children, obatined a minimal settlement, and ended up paying outrageous fees for Grassby's endless, pointless and futile procedures. Miriam Grassby achieved two things: 1) she made my children miserable for 18 months and 2) she charged obscene fees to my ex-wife. Fortunately, she is not very good, except at overbilling her clients.

many times phone calls were not returned.I was encouraged to do things i felt were immoral and illegal which worked against me in getting a good settlement. Needless to say my chilren are now paying.
