It was very fortunate to have hired Mr Gutierrez to represent me. I am a physician. I was accused of sexual mis conduct by a young girl who was obviously being coached by her multi-felony convicted mother. Luckily, Mr. Gutierrez was on the case. He was recommended to me by another lawyer as one of the best trial lawyers he knew. He was right. He has won awards for being one of the best lawyers in California. Before the trial, he literally spent hours upon hours , including nights past midnight and on weekends. I read an earlier post that he did not prepare. That is just plain hogwash. He truly cares about his clients. He knows what you are going thru and keeps you informed & explains what happening before and during the trial. He is probably one of the most prepared lawyers around. During trial it Is obvious he knows his way around the court. Both judges and juries receive and respond to him very we'll. I would recommend him without reservation.

In a case involving multiple felony counts, Mr. Gutierrez was able to settle the case for a misdemeanor charge and he was able to return money confiscated by the police back to its rightful owner.

Joseph won dismissals in all six of my cases. The latest was the most challenging, made up of a Police Permit Review panel known to typically side with the City Attorney's Office and Los Angeles Police Department - a hearing in which you are definitely not expected to win. Faced with the possible revocation of my license and the subsequent loss of my business, those days were filled with anxiety and concern. They need not have been. Following a 3-3 split decision at our first appearance, a second hearing was held in front of a seven-member panel resulting in a 4-3 majority and complete dismissal. In his presentation to the board, Joseph was extraordinary.
Joseph came highly recommended by a friend of mine, also in the legal profession, who has known Joseph for a very long time and has had ample opportunities to witness his skill in the courtroom. "Juries like him". They most certainly do. And so do Boards. And so do clients.

Joseph Gutierrez has represented me on several matters during the past six years. Mr. Gutierrez understood the complexities and subtlties inherent in each issue. Criminal representation is a particularly nuanced and the relationship bewtween the attorney and the client requires trust, fluid communication, research, as well as preparation and skill in dealing with prosectors and judges. This attorney is not well prepared for court and does not know the facts of your case. He is extremelly expensive and not worth the money. He is not prepared for court, does not know the facts of his case. Do yourself a favor and do not hire him .
