Click to report rating    3/23/17   1     1     1     1     1   He is very biased, definitely favors the district attorney. Talked college basketball with jurors in the courtroom, during a trial, with potential to send the defendant to prison for life. He would not allow any detrimental evidence the defendant presented. He said, "I don't like it". This is definitely not a fair, lawful man, yes I'm angry at the outcome, but I'm speaking only of facts. He sent an innocent person to prison. If he is your judge, run!  5/25/07   3     1     1     1     1   I recently had the opportunity to spend several days observing Mr. Forte preside over a child custody hearing. It clearly appeared to me that while he was up to speed on current law and statutes, his deliberations and decisions appeared to be made based on his own personal ideologies rather than on the rule of law. I will personally work hard and encourage others to see that he is not re-elected when his term expires. RID: 4112
Click to report rating    5/23/07   1     1     1     1     1   very rude and always spoke as if you were below him. No social skills or concern about people. Referred to us as these people RID: 4093
Click to report rating    5/23/07   2     1     2     2     1   Judges are supposed to be fair and impartial, not stringing out a case unnecessarily over a long period of time, and/or allowing the lawyers and social workers to do the same; especially in regards to young children.(30 months plus)One would think that with fewer hearings and more expediency given to those hearings; would result in fewer children becoming entrenched in the court system for an unreasonable amount of time. A tenacious judge who keeps the aforementioned in mind would not allow the case to go on indefinitely. This judge cited no ORS during a decision hearing, but punctuated his speech with philosophical remarks as if he was a social worker. He needs to uphold the ORS and take off his social engineer hat when he enters the court room. He made it appear that he, along with lawyers, social workers, CASA, and "experts" were in cahoots together. Value to the community? You decide. We did. Bias? You bet. RID: 4078
