Don did an awesome defense for me. Very clear and to the point. He told me 3 things to always remember "BE BRIEF" (don't elaborate on yes/no questions, "DON'T GUESS" (makes you look like you're BS'ing, and "UNDERSTAND" (If you don't get the question, ask to have it rephrased). My conviction was dropped thanks to Don (and enough evidence proving my innocence). I couldn't have chosen a better lawyer. 2019 (good year) ;)

Don is a good man. My case was very difficult and after explaining to don I was a single father who was facing 3 years in prison he did everything in his power to help me. He told me he kept thinking about my son. He cares about kids and family. We won our case all my charges were acquitted. He didn't just save my life but also my 2 year old boy. If he likes you and feels you are a good person who deserves the best that's exactly what he will give. After dealing with Don I wouldn't choose anyone else

He has done NOTHING. He's always too busy to deal with you, never calls you back. Charges too much for no help at all. I learned more looking it up on the internet. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DON SKOGSTAD!

had dealings with this man some years ago and after wasting money and time on something that was very important to us and supposedly a slam dunk case for him passed it off to his understudy and then totally dumped our case when bigger and better things came up. Very disappointed in him as I heard that capabilities were great. Sadly not true but the ego rumor was.

Mr. Skogstad was unethical and abusive in my dealings with him. After one month of him dealing with an emergency situation for me, he never did actually accomplish anything and what he did do (costing me $1,000) was useless as it was full of wrong information and on wrong forms. His delay caused me much inconvenience and cost. He should not be allowed to practise law and people should be diligent, as I was, to report him to the Law Society of British Columbia, where you can find details of him being reported previously. If I had known that he had been restricted from practising law previous to me dealings with him, I would never have hired him.

Found Don to be fair with time and sympathetic to my cause (challenging custodial issue). Pursued the issue to a most satisfactory conclusion.

When I was told that I had an impossible case, I asked around and heard that Don was the best in Nelson. After months of working with me directly, patiently answering all of my questions (many of which I asked over and over again!) we case to a successful conclusion! Now I understand why the man is supposed to be the best of the best in the Kootenays! I never expected a lawyer to be so thorough and direct! 100% highly recommended!

He is an evil man that only cares about himself, he will do anything in his power to get his way and needs social help, the best example I could use to describe him is hes like Saruman from Lord of the Rings..Dealing with this man is a guarantee to be stabbed in the back.

very disrespecptful,unhelpful,totally unavailable.only accepts e-mails so he does not have to respond.assistant treats me with disdainful rudeness, gives me the office run-around.there treatment of a client is way worse than whatever legal matter you needed to deal with.
