Going through my divorce was a very scary time for me and i had no idea what the process looked like. I reached out to Kenny Leigh and they agreed to take on my case. Their knowledge of the laws and men’s rights when it comes to divorce/custody is amazing. They gave me peace of mind through the whole process and wrapped my case up fairly quickly with the outcome i had hopped for.

Kenny is a great salesman but his associates don't live up to his promises. After paying a $5000 retainer my appointed attorney did not produce a single piece of paper or file one motion with the court. Then quit because I questioned when we were going to file anything. Then I was told that the retainer was not refundable even though she quit. Nothing but a scam

My divorce took almost 10 years to complete, no fault of Kenny Leigh and associates. My former wife spent most of the time representing herself and with that comes very unique situations that are handled differently than if it was 2 attorneys handling the divorce. David Merritt was my attorney throughout and his professionalism and respect that he afforded my ex wife was outstanding. Many times when my frustrations were at peak, he was the calm and the voice of reason that helped through those times. He was able to ensure I had custody of our children, he expertly delivered results that were in my best interest and he also became a friend in the process. The communications from all those involved in my case was excellent, their knowledge was never in question and they worked my case like I was their only client. I would recommend this law firm every time to those who would need this service. I have nothing but high praise for my time with Kenny Leigh and Associates.

I used this guy for a custody battle and he tried to con me. Initially he charged me $1,000.00. After 2 weeks he said hat if I paid him another $500.00 he would work the case for $1,500.00 no matter how long it took and I agreed. After a week of paying the extra money he tried to get me accept an offer from my ex but I countered the offer and he seemed upset. I received 2 more offers from my ex and I rejected each one. Finally we went to mediation and after 2 months the case was over. I got the feeling that he was pissed that he did all that work for $1,500.00. I needed a lawyer a year later and I called Kenny and he never returned my calls.

A truly horrible experience. First my original attorney left the firm after only a few months on my case. I had already paid Kenny Leigh a $2500 retainer. I sadly opted to stay with them. Next were the billing issues were the firm charged me for travel time for my newly appointed attorney who was now not a local attorney and also charged me for late fees and motions to separate which were actually made on time. Than Counsel recommended a deposition were in this deposition I found that Kenny Leigh lost important documents (a agreement letter) from my spouses counsel that I would have accepted. This caused the case to go far longer than it needed and I would have not needed a deposition. Costing me more money. This firm has no clue, and just pushes documents through the courts and charges high dollars to do so. Do your homework Spend your money wisely. Stay far far away from Kenny Leigh & Assoc.

AT OWN RISK! This felt like a public defender level operation that didn't come close 2 living up to what I was paying extra for. High rise offices do not equate to professionalism. I opted to pay a little more for this "Men"s Only" service hoping they would at least be true 2 their mission statement. I was wrong! In reality I paid nearly 20k for a case that I settled in mediation. I was quoted $10,5. All they did was file paperwork on my behalf. They did not return emergency phone calls promptly "withing 24hrs" as they claim, yet expect the call costs YOU $100-250. After 4 months, without notice I had a new attorney, who I had the stress of familiarizing with my case,though they charge you monthly for "team strategy meeting". I was divorcing a narcissist and was afraid to fire them & try 2 find a new attorney mid-case so I stuck it out. If you are looking for piece of mind, prompt, personalized service, this is not it! The focus is clearly how much $ they can squeeze out you monthly!

This guy and his firm are money suckers, they prolong the case until the bank runs dry. There junior attourneys have no court presence and to be quite frank lack the ability to read unless its time to bill.

Guy's I'm no competitive attorney who this law firm claims is trying to cause them a bad reputation, I trusted them with my divorce and they cost me near $9000.00 and all they did was take my case and pass it on not once, not twice, but 3 times down to a bunch of inexperienced incompetent attorneys who just came out of college dumb as a stump,the last one abandoned the firm and went on her own, ask me if I wanted to continue having her represent me and I did, and she also cost me another $300.00 to later drop my case and abandon her practice because of being broke, forcing me to hire another private divorce attorney who then completed my divorce not before costing me another $15,000.00 dollars, all this happened to me because I trusted in Kenny Leigh's bull**** thinking that they are there to look out for men's rights when it came to family laws, DON'T GO TO THIS LAW FIRM do your search, ignore the billboard you see from the Florida's Turn like and I-95 they are LIAR'S NOT LAWYERS.

Was told price was $2500.00, I wanted joint custody for my daughter and lower the child support. The only thing they did was change the venue and charged almost $4000.00. I could have changed the venue free. They charged for every phone call I made to them and visa versa.Bad Lawyer Firm. Please don't use them. By rights they should refund my money, but that is a laugh.

This firm is just out to squeeze money out of the client. Theres no aggressive defense. They added an extra 3,ooo to my bill and tried justify this by saying there was a lot that stiil had to be done. How is that ,when the case was closed? The lawyer did not follow what I wanted to her to use and submit to the judge. She also did not defend me during the trial. After the trial, and the judge had ruled against me, she tried to get me to file more paperwork and expect things would change. If you were to read what this so called judge had wrote, then you would know that was futile. I do believe if this firm lived up to their advertising, then maybe things would have been different. Maybe not. But, I would have felt much better with the out come if I had been represented the way they advertise. My lawyer was a very nice person but, nice doesn't win family law cases. That much I know to be a fact. I would only recommend this firm to my enemies. Do yourself a favor, go with a real law firm.

Kenny Leigh is best at advertisement. He is horrible as a lawyer. Buyer beware. If you use this firm, your case will be prolonged as you pay for every minute. They send duplicate emails and bill you for both. Your "team" meets once a month to review your case (you pay), but if you call someone on your team be ready to tell them what is going on with your case(you pay). I left this firm and hired a lawyer who hourly rate was significantly less and he completed my divorce in 2 months. Kenny Leigh is not an example of "you get what you pay for."

Here's the facts; 6 year marriage ending with 2 children seeking joint custody. Wife moves out to rent her own huge place, husband stays in home which is upside down in mortgage. Modest incomes, no other property. Easy you say?
I've SPENT OVER $10,000 WITH NOTHING TO SHOW BUT EXTENDED COURT DATES - 15 MONTHS AND COUNTING. Leaving this CLOWN OF ATTORNY for some honest, AND COMPETENT lawyer. The ONLY thing this clown is good at is sending out monthly retainer bills!!! I'm going to complain to the state on this incompetence and the credit card company I used to pay is HUGE retainers.

Hired this law firm for a case already in progress for custody. They spent my entire retainer on fees assessed on attorneys. Reading my case information to be transferred to another attourney the next month with out my knowledge. Didn't get anything accomplished. Slick way to spend retainer is constant giving my case to new attorneys every month.

Drag, charge, and drop. I asked for my wife to be served in May, she wasn't served until Dec. they claim the wrong person got served because of court error?? Just before mediation and after paying tons of money they dropped me due to a conflict of interest. Stay away from this from.

Kenny Leigh wants you to believe that some of their negative reviews are from their competitors/parties who wish to harm their reputation. I was a client and to be truthful the only thing this law firm is good at and I would have given them a 5 rating for it, is sucking the money out of your pocket into theirs.
The first lie I was told at the initial consultation "Kenny Leigh Law Firm does not nickel and dime like other lawyers. All I got was nickel and dime! This firm will call you and email you the same information and CHARGE YOU FOR BOTH. YOU PAY for every minute you are on the phone with them and for ALL emails. You are even charge when they discuss your case with each other at their monthly office meeting
If you use them:
1. Watch how long they prolong your case, prolong a phone call (with a lot of UMS) or send multiple emails with a lot of useless or same information that was discuss on the phone. MORE MONEY
3. Watch how your bank account will get suck dry. LESS MONEY

I was a client at Kenny Leigh and Associates for about 6 years and spent over $50,000 for 50% custody and a divorce. Kenny Leigh himself personally dropped me after I voiced my concerns that they were not being aggressive enough and were losing the ground that Nick James (Kenny's ex-partner now at Hunt, Green, and James) had gained in my initial divorce. The constructive criticism was more than he could handle and evidently Kenny doesn't believe a cash paying client has a right to voice their frustrations, especially when compared to his old partner! I've now retained Nick James and he has been steadily undoing the damage brought on by Daniel Smith at Kenny Leigh and associates after LOSING my first court hearing EVER AND ME BEING ORDERED TO PAY ATTORNEY'S FEES BECAUSE DANIEL DIDN'T BEING THE PAPERS I TURNED IN ON TIME!! Trust me when I tell you that if you want honest, aggressive, and thorough representation, whether male or female, retain Nick James. He was the backbone

I must say that I'm very surprised reading these reviews here. My experience with Kenny Leigh, in particular David Merritt, has been excellent. My case started out simple, then the ex and her lawyer began to drag it out. David has fought, been diligent in defending me and been quite honestly top notch. Opposing counsel has been difficult, at best. I would recommend David Merritt without any hesitation at all.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM! I hired them in haste & wished I seen these ratings before I gave $2000 retainer. In 3 months time I have paid an additional $1300 & we haven't even been to a hearing or court yet. Its a simple custody case for time sharing with my son and was suppose to be "a cut & dry" situation..so they claimed after a $40 consultation. Only spoke to the attorney 2x & the rest of the time has been me filling out papers from the paralegals. They type in what I filled out on the forms they sent but cant even copy correctly. Name spelled wrong, improper English, wrong address(not even the same state), one form stating Im the father and another Im the husband yet I was never married. We exchanged emails at least 6x and then I pay to get notarized and then get a bill for another $1000. WTF? Then its pay in 3 days or we drop your case instead of payment plans as they originally verbally spoke about in the consultation. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY DO NOT HIRE THEM! Read the other reviews

If you're lucky you'll get a call back in a week! They start by telling you it's a simple case and they will solve it in mediation and it'll only cost you $2500. some how you'll end up in trial...more $$ and that's my experience. DON'T HIRE THEM! I wonder how much money Kenny Leigh paid friends to write bogus reviews on other rating sites. This firm preys on the legally innocent and ignorant by advertising their commitment to men. They are unethical thieves - look them up on Martindale-Hubbell, the legal peer and client review authority for attorneys (where you can't pay them to write reviews). They choose to HIDE their client reviews (for good reason) and the one peer review they have is poor.
After $8,000 and 6 months of no filed petitions, despite multiple requests, no counter-petitions, unreturned phone calls and emails, I fired them and hired a competent responsive attorney.
DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. I am reporting their unethical practice to the Florida Bar.

I contracted Kenny Leigh to represent my son in a divorce case that I was told was a simple matter. My case was assigned to Stefani Nolan and $6,000 later I/we still have nothing to show for the money I have paid this firm. When I questioned where the money had gone and told them that I was very unhappy with their work they quickly filed to be removed from the case billing me yet another $1,000 in "withdrawal" fees. So after paying them $7,000 for absolutley nothing. This firm is operated by incompetent and greedy lawyers and all they do is take your money, send you emails that your "team" has met and reviewed your case, you then get another bill for more money but no true work on the case. Kenny Leigh and associates are horrible! My husband and I found them online after he was served papers for child support from his ex. He had Nathan Carter on his case. Whom he could never get a hold of... Mr Carter was also working for my husbands ex wife's( different ex) father with his divorce and preceded to tell the other party of that case that her daughter could still get my husband for back child support. Which she got... He was trying to get a hold of Mr. Carter to get advice for said case before the hearing accured and never got a hold of him. And My husband still can not get a hold of anybody but the secretary for weeks on end now. Also my husbands ex has told him several times things about the case that the lawyer didn't even know.... We are firing this AWFUL and GREEDY law firm. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!! They will bill you into bankruptcy then drop you when you have nothing left. Great advertising HORRIBLE results. I had Stefini Nolan that works for Kenny and she did nothing for me. She drug it out and took $10,000.00 of my money. We went to mediation and made agreement with my ex and when we went to the hearing Infront of the judge, the judge told Stefini that this mediation agreement was incomplete because there wasn't any kind of parenting plan extablish, which was incomplete. So after the hearing Kenny wrote me a letter, saying he reviewed my case and they handled it with perfection. So after that I went to get another attorneys advice, which she said thank God this judge didn't sign off on this mediation, because your attorney didn't represent you right. She said that I should of got 50/50 custody, claim my kids every year and so on and so on. So what ever you hear them saying they only represent men only, you better run, because all they care about is your money and nothing else. They are very crooked lawyers and they should pay back every peeny that I and everyone else has paid!! Good luc

He advised cost would run $2,500 now over $9,000 and still adding up, he advised case was easy and wouldn't take any time to settle, charged me for his office move! The judge told attorney to call him in a week or two, that was December 1st, it has been two months and he won't call judge because I have no more money to pay him in full, just sucks the daylight out of his clients.

If you are a MAN you would be better off without an attorney it will save you money on both ends. MY dad used Mr. Leigh because of his phone book add which stated Attorney for "Men Only" thinking he would fight for at least for what was fair... in a 50/50 state my dad age 75 ended up with considerably less. His ex who walked out of the marriage 8 years earlier had him served divorce papers while in the hospital recovering from serious heart surgery got everything she asked for we almost began to think he was working for her. I wish I had checked him out before retaining him but my dad was in the hospital and I was preparing to move him to RI to live with me so I could take care of him. My suggestion, take your time and do your research.
