Magistrate Lynaugh was very fair. She saw through the lies of my ex and his lawyer trying to hide his double income. I’m sure he’s going to object to the findings, but Lynaugh, and my incredible attorney, were amazing and definitely can see through the bs. She used both of our evidence submitted and the findings were very black and white. The negative reviews are from the ones that didn’t get what they want in the findings. Just be completely honest, & the truth shall prevail.

After reading all the post about her I figured I was DONE!, I represented Myself, went to all the dates, didn't wast her or the courts time and relied on the submitted facts. Ms. Lynaugh was so involved and thorough with her questions that she uncovered lies and deception by my x made to the court, after a 2 week wait the results were nothing less then staggering! Thank You Barbara Lynaugh.

My case goes back to 1998. She is heartless, and I wish I had seen this years ago. This woman ignored so much or chose to disregard. She was not objective or fair. I still have all the documents that illustrate her inability to act fairly. I am sorry to see she is still a judge.

Barbarah Lynaugh granted custody of my 3 yr old son son to an absolute sociopath when she was acting as family court judge! My son is now 13 yrs old living in Florida. He played the same scheme on his ex wife with their two kids. Do I reside in America or a third world country?? I've had not had any contact with my son in over 10 yrs. I gave up because of this incompetent judge. The father kept no showing on visitations and pursued the mental game of brainwashing. He brought against me at least 10 different stay away orders based on fabricated stories!He is extremely mentally ill yet never diagnosed with obvious illness. I am scarred for life and so is my family! She still insist I pay child support on this child that the father doesn’t allow me to see! Is this judge disturbed or just have complete ignorance about people???

One of the worst judges in Suffolk County. She makes unreasonable rulings and is a very bitter woman. This Country truly needs to re-evaluate the system used putting horrible lawyers into judgeships. Mrs. Lynaugh most definitely needs to be disbarred. Our country is legally failing the livelihood of innocent people due to incompetence!

Barbara Lynaugh is a pathetic excuse for a support magistrate! Act in the best interest of the children she certainly DOES NOT!!! I had to hire an attorney to overturn what she did and judge Harkin stated in the ruling that she did not act in the best interest of the children! Now I have to hire another lawyer because she is allowing my ex to dispute the child support amount that's based upon his income! Is that even legal? Probably not, she makes illegal decisions all the time and gets away with it! My ex babbles on and on in the room, today I questioned how it was possible to go to trial and she told me if I didn't be quiet and cooperate she was going to dismiss my child support petitions. Which in sure isn't legal and is definitely not acting in the best interest of my children who are on food stamps because their father doesn't want to pay his legal amount of support!

Barbara Lynaugh is a terrible excuse for a magistrate. She does not allow fair hearings in her presence. She tells people to do things and then dismisses what they did per her request. I have never in all my years of dealing with the court system come across someone who will NOT allow me the chance to show my side of the case. She is rude and mean and treats women like they should not be asking these men to help them with their children! How they allow someone so unfair try to settle cases is beyond me. I have completed hours and hours and hours of paperwork and motions and petitions only for her to dismiss them! She is disgusting and an ugly person!

How does this poor excuse for a judge stay on the bench? she is a rude, nasty, lying human being! I went to the courts after running all over the placed to file a petition, gather all my information for an increase in child support after 12 years of no increase, I had ALL of my paperwork, w2, paysubs etc, she was so nasty because I didn't have an attorney,nowhere on the paperwork from the courts did it say bring a lawyer or you will not be heard and treated like an idiot! as I started to read off dates and all the money I have been laying out in the last year, she rudely told me I couldn't read off my paper and what I had taken hours to write! so after I tried to remember all from memory with dates,mrs lynaugh said is that it? I said I guess, she said fine you will get your decision in the mail. when I asked her as I was walking out don't you want any of our w2's or paystubs? she said no I said your decision will be in the mail! how can you make a decision with no info, then got denied

Allowing Judge Lynaugh to remain in the court is a disservice to those that need the assistance of Family Court. She ignores evidence, and makes poor decisions. She lost her bid for court justice and somehow got back into the court. This shows how crooked the Suffolk County politics are.

I have been in front of this judge 3 times in an attempt to get a simple child support order of 100 dollars weekly. She is an extremely nasty women and went so far as too question me as too why I don't work more when I told her I am trying to finish my Masters she rolled her eyes. She did not ask for any proof of income from my ex and did not ask him any questions. She refuses to put my order through the child support collection agency even though my ex refuses to pay.

My ex refused to pay child support for over two years and wound up in jail for 6 months. Once out he paid when he felt like it, hardly ever. I finally went to family court to enforce he pay child support for our 2 children. Linaugh granted him a downward modification without him having to prove any negative change of circumstances, basing on his lies coming from his mouth. Even though I had documentation proving he has since remarried, has another child, owns two gas guzzling trucks, new wife does not work and they just bought a new house. Meanwhile my two kids have to rely on charity from our church, their school and DSS because their father does not pay for anything for his children. Linaugh is the most ungodly decision maker in the United States legal system and should not be making any decisions where children are concerned. She does not go by the law, but by her own flawed mindset. She is the devil in a black robe.

She and/or her minions have added a series of positive review in recent days to boost her poor rating of 1.8 to the current 2.6 in a cynical attempt to deceive voters about how she is truly regarded in the legal community. I knew of this judge's reputation as previously stated in these postings way ahead of ending up her court. She is a support magistrate/referee now. I have to say she was reasonable towards me. I had a good idea what I was eligible for & what she was likely going to deny before I even got there. She handled my case exactly by the book. She could have been more flexible in terms of what I was asking for considering my ex make twice as much as me & pays practically nothing in support & I pay for everything the kids need. My ex was challenging her & she put him in his place a couple of times -- which personally after seeing other judges wilt in his presence & be manipulated by his BS, I enjoyed seeing him b**** slapped by her. I wouldn't dare test her though in the future. Once in her court was quite enough for me.

My ex lied about their circumstances and the judge ignored all documented information proving the lies. rendered her decision in their favor. I must now go through the appeal process. I would like to know of how many of her decisions have been overturned

I became "acquainted" with Judge Lynaugh 13 years ago. My son is bipolar and was becoming extremely aggressive. I was about to put him into a residential treatment program, but my son went to his father who had just been released from jail for stabbing his girlfriend. I told Judge L about my son, even gave her a book where he described heinous acts done to people who "defied" him. She said "Maybe he is trying to be Snoop, doggy, dog". She gave custody to my ex, and said that I was a terrible mother for trying to "get my son in trouble."He eventually came back to live with me when his father threw him out when he realized he couldn't get control of his bank account despite having custody of him. By them, my son was too old to get a PINS order on. I did the best I could. My son today is being held on $1,000,000 bail for stabbing someone in the throat who "defied" him. He has an arrest sheet a mile long for violent acts. Judge Lynaugh took away my last chance to help my son.

Jude lynaugh was very fair. I had heard she does not like women so I was very nervous going into her court room. She was very fair and accurate. She followed the law. Maybe she doesn't like women asking for money, which was not my case. My ex was asking me for money which is not something you hear every day.

Maybe this Judge realizes ALL the crap the system has put men through. Times are changing, the courts are beginning to realize women have abused the system for many years and many of our children are killed and seriously hurt while in their mothers care. The Supreme Courts favor women no matter what, then Family Court Judges are left to clean up ALL the mess created by the Supreme Court.

She should not be a judge.She is partial, and cruel.She knocked my child support down from $250 per week to $90 per week for for children when I applied for an upward modification. When I cried, and told her I could then not take care of my children, she told me to shut up, and if she heard one more word or noise she would hold me in contempt. Years later, a lawyer represented me in her court and she told my lawyer to shut up too. She makes up her mind, not based on truth, but what she decides, and without comprehending how negectively her random decision making affects the children. She does not care about the children. She does not have empathy. She even granted my ex husband access into my home in an ex-parte hearing, even after my lawyer informed her that I had an order of protection due to his threat of murder. She is a sick woman, and needs help. I stand by my word, and think she should be removed immediately from the bench. She should be held for contempt, put in prison

I came to her for help, and I am in a nitemare she wont even hear my case.. I am trying to help my child. I was told just because you ask for a hearing doesnt mean you get one.. and she dismissed everything! I dont understand I try so hard to do the right thing.. I wrote everything down.. I went out of my way to make the situation better.. and I came to the courts for help because i have nowhere to turn.. And I was denied a hearing.. when I clearly need the courts.. instead I will probable be dragged in to court later in life and the courts will hear him.. I am very upset how do we help our children?

This is not a judge. She allowed three children to have visitation with a man whom calls himself there dad but has not paid child support, has focused on destroying there mother financially, who has full custody(that means nothing), deals and does actually take heroin and has been unable to complete a drug treatment program which we as tax payers pay for completely. To make matters worse, the children have described to there lawyer and lynaugh herself that they do not wish to go to this mans house ever again and yet they are being forced to go as they were forced to go to visit this man at the phoenix house, a drug rehab center which we also pay for as taxpayers.
